Kinda reminds me of all the dropped passes when
he played at LSU. Hell any starting QB in the NFL
can be a success if you surround him with good players. That's what shows what a good QB can do
if he has mediocre players.

he plays on a shitty team.
that pretty much sums it up.

Some of you are fricking idiots. It's his 6th fricking start in the NFL.

Yeah but remember he can throw the ball a long ways that makes him a good QB.

haha NWtiger you made my day...
The guy has all the tools minus a head on his shoulders and touch on his passes. He has the ability to be great, but he just isn't. There are more talented quarterbacks in the league than Brady and Manning and Brees, but those guys who "are more talented" aren't as good of quarterbacks. There's a "thing" about quarterbacking and some guys have it and some guys don't. Right now, Jamarcus doesn't.
Hate me if you want, but open your eyes to the truth.

not fair to judge him over there in Oakland. That O-line is turrible.

example?

Example? How about 60% of his plays? The guy doesn't go through his progressions well, doesn't look off many defenders, and doesn't appear to make his checks too well.
I question how big of a "student of the game" that he is.

he had all day to throw until midway through the 4th quarter. their o-line does suck, but i think that's the best protection they had for the qb all year. when it's all said and done i believe he'll be a really good qb in the nfl.
Posted on 10/12/08 at 7:16 pm to lsurick82
lsurick... You're right about the protection. He didn't have pressure until late in the game. So his "terrible O-line" (although true) can not be an excuse today.
However I do disagree with your prediction, but everyone has their own opinion.

The way he has avoided throwing picks is really encouraging, and keep in mind again his WRs are terrible.
You might not be able to say his OLine sucks today, but against the Broncos and Chargers calling his OLine a turnstile would have overstated their ability.
At least 4-5 times in a quarter two rushers got through the line totally untouched.

And that's HUGE. If your OL sucks you could at least have 1 reliable go-to WR and Oakland doesn't.

they really are bad. i saw at least 5 drops today
Posted on 10/12/08 at 8:23 pm to thunderbird1100
Javon Walker at his current state is probably a #3 WR for most teams if that.
