He would have got paid regardless.
He is getting paid now. By opting out, he can sign with an agent who will be more than happy to front him some major cash just on the prospect of his NFL future

I wish the players would use this approach. It would give them more power
More power?!? That’s exactly what’s wrong with this entitled and privileged kids. It’s a symbiotic relationship not a power struggle.

Part of a generation that will ruin this country...very weak minded! There’s another word but will not say it. Go ahead with your replies.
The boomer generation ruined this country. I refer to them as the Veruca Salt generation. Spoiled beyond belief and demanded everything despite the global consequences.

It’s his choice and there is no doubt about that. He can make whatever decision he thinks is best for him and his family. If you respect his decision that is great. I don’t like the choice and as a fan of LSU I think the decision sucks for a multitude of reasons...

a'marr chase doesn't owe lsu nor its fans ANYTHING.
Ehh, without fans there is no reason playing past his age because you won't make money, without LSU there is no platform to show his skills.

Pretty sure Chase worked his arse off to get where he is currently. His talent is his power. It’s his gift, so he is entitled to guard it how he chooses.

What are these global consequences? Having entitled children because they provided everything for them? Or was it pretty much everything you have that makes your life easier?

Just like fans work their arse off to support LSU. They are entitled to voicing their opinion about a player who breaks his commitments.

Idk if you watched our offense last year but the #2 WR was likely getting plenty of reps.

If something came up and you couldn’t pay for your tickets, Who would go online and call you a shitty fan?

Timing was horrible!

Want to rephrase that in coherent English?

People that think like you are the reason college basketball is a mess. And its coming for college football too.

Again... Need to quit acting some type away towards these kids opting out. Be more upset with the NCAA. I promise you that these highly touted recruits only go to school because they HAVE too. These are business decisions they make for their future, this ain’t about you. When you make financial decisions I guarantee you don’t keep anybody but YOUR family in mind... you wanna be mad, be mad at the NCAA. I don’t like this anymore than the next person, but damn sure ain’t going to hold it against someone for protecting their future. Sound like some fools crying about what another MAN doing with HIS life!!

Without players of Chase’s talent, you are watching LSU of the 90s. I’ll take having 1 elite player opting out who lead our team to a natty and a 200yd domination performance over an elite CB and the greatest WR season in history if it means that 1 player opts out during a non-guaranteed full season anyway

bro, he was a huge part of a natty winning team. the revenue and exposure alone cover his tab at lsu. Guess what lsu will not buy him a home and take care of his future life.
