WILL BE THE STARTER

Are you smoking crack? JL will never have a chance to be the starter nor will he ever be a decent backup. The only talent JL will ever have is to lose game after game for LSU. The only similarity these two have that they both help teams other than LSU win.

If Lee is the QB for LSU this year, then y'all best be able to run the ball. Here's why. He doesn't have the arm to make the 12 - 15 yard out from the far hash. Most SEC Db's will pick it unless there's a blown coverage. Therefore, the routes which a receiver(s) on the wide side of the field are restricted. SEC D coordinators will see this too.

Apparently you didnt watch many games last year

JL actually has a winning record as starter... so I dont see how he lost game after game.
In reality he never lost 2 straight either... just saying get your facts straight before posting....

The Mad Hatter will get it right! I hope JJ rolls us to an undefeated season! And if he falters, I hope JL comes in and proves everyone wrong. And if he doesn't, I hope Shep or Garrett light it up!

See, this guy has it right. Don't play favorites for players, just teams. I hope teh starting QB for LSU leads us to the BCS title game in 2009.

With that being said, JJ inspires more confidence in me than JL, sorry to say.

Well if you watched last season the guy played terrible and lost the games for us we should have won. And i didnt mean he lost game after game literally you act like i dont know this. But what i do know is the reason we won the games we did was not beacuase of him and the games we lost was beacuse of him.

Cause JL plays defense also?

#17 Rush Defense
#73 Pass Defense
#32 Total Defense
#98 Passes Intercepted
#46 in Sacks
#85 in Turnovers forced
#56 in Tackles for Loss
#56 in Scoring Defense
#67 in Red Zone Defense

JL interceptions hurt but they are not only reason we lost as many games as we did.

Also another inaccurate statement by you:

Troy
Auburn
South Carolina ring a bell? We won those games because he led the come back against them.

In reality, Bama and UGA are only 2 losses you can really blame him for. Florida our defense and our offense was no where to be seen.

Well do you not think that 2 games that the QB blows horribly bad is enough to sit him on the bench? I mean the Bama game I could have been playing at QB and not lost that one for us.

You forget year before Flynn threw 3 interceptions against same Bama team.

Was he bad? Yes there is no doubt he did not perform to level LSU fans want or expect.
Your talking about a 19 year old kid who really has not played in 2 years prior to this past season.

He did what alot of young QB's do, he tried making plays with his arm instead of throwing it away and threw picks.

With JJ you see mistakes also, like his ability to take sacks. Instead of forcing a pass JJ pulls it down and wants to run.

They do what they know how, JL has always relied on his arm cause he has always been best on field and JJ his feet cause he was always the best player on the field.

With coaching JL can turn it around, his mistakes are fixable if he is committed and coaching staff is. Just like with JJ game experience will teach him to stand in pocket a bit longer.

He did not sit earlier in season because coaches obviously felt JJ was not ready yet. I am sure if they believed he was ready for full time duty he would have saw more action early on.

As long as they wear Purple and Gold I am going to root for them. Not sit here and say one is better than other cause they need each other. The more JL pushes JJ the better JJ becomes and vice versa.

STFU you pu**y. And yes i would much rather JJ pull the ball down and run and lose 10 yards rather than the other goon we have a pick 6. I can handle that flaw its not a problem. Just go blow the kid if you like him so much. He will NOT be the starter here at LSU barring some type of injury. I would rather see Chad Jones play QB before JL again.

I'm suprised more people don't realize that Lee is afraid to take a hit. In the spring game he is fine because he knows he won't get hit. Go back and look at the picks he threw last year. Most of them were forced passes when he was under pressure. Better yet look at how many sacks Lee took, and we all know that isn't because he is swift on his feet.

You sir obviously have no clue what is going on.... Would you prefer me to prove you wrong more often with your inaccurate opinions?

Obviously your type of "fan" who is fair weather and probably bandwagon since that is your opinion of a player who wears purple and gold. You would be better off rooting for Tulane I believe.

You realize JL only took 8 sacks in 11 games played correct?

I was just happy not to hold my breath when JJ threw the ball. JL's problem is that he doesn't like to get hit. He's so scared when the ball is snapped to him, he can't slow the game down enough to perform. He might be a hell of a QB if he can overcome it, but we will never know.

My point. When he was put under pressure he would force passes instead of taking a sack and getting hit.

its a very dicey subject...
Now say Bryd had given 100% effort every play and made a couple more catches. Or a pass doesnt bounce off a player.

Say JL only throws 4 pick 6 and we end up beating Bama and Georgia with him.

Do fans still hate him with the venom they do?

I never understood this, a play here or there we are 10-3 last year or were 5-7.

I have stated my opinion on why he threw INTS, I dont think it was cause he is afraid to get hit. But that he is young and tried to force the ball where it was not suppose to go. In high school the shite worked cause he was probably best player on field most of time. Here in SEC it does not work as well.
