Face it, both QB's are pretty awful.
Lee was far from awful last Saturday. It seems the mindset behind the SWAC quality QB is to just bring down JL instead of telling us why JJ is better.

Definition of FLUKE!!!!!!
Why don't you just go ahead and push to play JJ "In Total" for the rest of the season and see how many TD's we score..... Scary iddddin it!!!! and Flipping-excrutiatingly BORING. Not to mention totally inept! when you really think about it,,
I don't know how many games Lee will win for us this year... BUT I do know you give me Lee and you take JJ, == I beat you 100% of the time all things being equal. DAMN THIS IS LIKE ARGUING WITH MY SISTERS KIDS!!!!HAHAHA

Okay then, you can't count yardage picked up through the air because another player has to catch it for it to work.
This is so stupid it's beyond all comprehension
Every QB on the planet is expected to be able to hand the ball of with near 100% efficiency.
Being able to make throws is what makes you a good QB. There is a reason that QBs get credit for passing yards and not just the WRs. They have to be able to read the defense and get the ball there with accuracy.
You're now equating a hand off with a completion which is completely asinine.
Your thread is stupid. You have no point here. I'm sure you could dredge up all sorts of random stats that show running backs getting better yardage when a different QB is playing. It's just inconceivably stupid for you to think that someone who is playing as ineffectively as Jefferson is somehow positively influencing our rushing game by his mere presence.

Eh... man he was pretty bad.
Horrible pick in the red zone.
Costly penalty on final drive that nearly killed it.
Stupid grounding penalty that killed another drive.
Threw a punt/pass off his back foot that I don't know how it wasn't intercepted.
Took two bad sacks.
Not exactly a who's who of QB play we have going righ tnow.

What's stupid is that you thought I was serious.

Actually you have yet to post anything of substance in this thread other that tireless insults and "LEE LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER!" to go with your obvious START LEE avatar.
But hey power to ya.

He's saying if you take away the 83 yard run though
That would give Jefferson 47 total yards
I know... Minus each player's biggest play...
Jefferson = 47 yards/14 runs & passes = 3.35 yards
Lee = 123 yards/25 runs & passes = 4.92 yards

his completion % was/is ideal for an efficient offense.

JJ - 6 series, 3 turnovers
JL - 5 series, 1 turnover

Maybe so.
But he also made quite a few mistakes.
To me it's just two different kinds of suck.
I want Jarrett Lee to be awesome, I really do. But when he plays Saturday, would I be surprised if he threw 2 or 3 picks off his back foot? Not in the slightest.
Just like I wouldn't be surprised if JJ started and only got 40-50 passing yards.

JJ, 3 turnovers in 6 series (not even including the last fumble)
JL, 1 turnover in 5 series

Acting as if JJ had absolutely nothing to do with the victory Saturday is pure mental incompetence.

I loathe JJ under center, and even I think its stupid to say he didnt have integral part in the win. You cant just ignore the TD run he had.
Will he do it everytime, no; could Ridley have taken a handoff up the middle that went 80 on that play, possibly.
Regardless, that play wouldnt have went 80+ yards with Lee under center, to be fair to JJ.
People can continue to use this logic and say "well JJ wouldnt have completed the 4th down to Tolliver either" so were basically just arguing in circles....

Why? ....because (in my mind) the measure of a good qb is how well he throws the ball....
LSU's offense had been crappy because Jefferson is only a running threat....other teams commit to stopping the run when Jefferson is in the game...& LSU does a horrible job converting on 3rd downs...
Question: without Lee, does LSU make that last drive to the endzone?

It is only appropriate to point out the flaws of Jefferson.
Lee did nothing at all wrong on Saturday. He was perfect, even.
Here are the rules:
1) Any criticism of Jefferson makes you a normal objective football fan.
2) Any criticism of Lee makes you a JJ lover, a Lee hater, a lunatic, and a probable communist.
3) Here is where it can get a little confusing: If you say both suck, it is because you are a JJ lover, a Lee hater, a lunatic, and a probable communist.
The crazy thing is that several posters in this thread actually operate on these rules.

so is thinking that he didnt frick it up too..
did they not score on his int a few plays later...
or were you getting a beer....
cause even the sun shines on a dogs arse somedays...
(what I think of JJ's run)
that guy has shown his true colors in the last couple of weeks in his interviews....something that ive known all along...he's all about himself...and i believe he is a cancer to the team...
the players cant talk about it but if they could without reprieve they would tell the truth....none of those guys like him...and he knows it deep down...thats why they will never play for him...look for total destruction come sat when he's in the game...

But without JJ, we likely lose that game.
If we only had one of the 2 guys (EITHER one) on Saturday, we are 4-1.
The 2 combined make a nearly passable QB.
