Are you serious? FAIL!
Solid player so far. Not too much to go on.

pretty much
that bowl game locked JJ's starting spot up.
without him playing that game, lee would be the starter going into the washington game IMO

Everybody in this thread is clueless....you yourself earlier said that Vince Young as a RS freshman couldn't have done what JJ did last year....that is about the most asinine thing I've ever read on this board....but the Rant never ceases to amaze

Seriously you think JJ thought this Lee made it through what 6,7,8 pick 6's....and you really think JJ thought he would be out of the starting job if he had a rough game against Ga Tech....come on now.

an incredible football IQ, is a good kid and a coach on the field!
Too bad he couldn't coach himself how to not throw a friggin' pick 6. Terrible.
If he does get another chance I hope the kid does well, but as for now he hasn't shown a football IQ, or he ability to be a "coach" on the field.

well they were trying to redshirt Jefferson so who was there to take Lees place? HAtch was hurt and they didnt want to use Jefferson. But then when JL got hurt they had to use JJ. That wasnt the same for Jefferson, Lee was right there on the side line if he was playing awful and could come in and take Jefferson chance away from him before he got a chance to make anything out of it. But much to BT dislike JJ played outstanding(and BT will not admit it) and locked up his role as the starter throughout the spring and only futher solidified his starter status til the season starts.

minus the fact Lee wasnt a TRUE frosh
the key word here is FIRST... first yr qb.
Im sure JL as 4th string behind MF, RP, and AH really got a leg up on the competition.
ask mitch mustain.
Furthermore... how the hell do any of you know what the future holds for any of these guys... im not comparing a fresh JL to a sr VY... but fact is VY didnt look like the player he BECAME as a fresh .... . WHY the frick is it so hard for some of you to pay the same fuking courtesy to JL????
IMO its b/c you have a hardon for JJ and JL is is a threat,,, JJ hasnt done any thing to frick up now,,, but if JL weren't around then it unlikey a true frsh will step in and take over for JJ if happen to struggle.
Leash is longer if JL isnt here, but he is so the best you can do is put him down..... and you JL's hater know it.
I honestly believe it would kill some of you if JJ got hurt or struggled and JL came in and played well.
It ashame.,, alot of you wont admit it but thats the some of you feel. ITs fuking pathetic.

You guys know what BT is about and yet you still get into these discussions with him.
We'll be better at the position because both guys will be more experienced. However, we may be better off by playing the one that is playing better at the moment.
Hurry up Fall 2009

why do posters on here refer to the bowl game last year as meaningless? Granted, it wasn't the NC game but it could harldly be considered meaningless. We won that game, in large part due to JJ among others, in dominating fashion. It helped in giving the team something to build on and some degree of momentum going into this coming season. It definately wasn't a meaningless game.

Did you watch Young? As a RFR, he could not control games like Jefferson controlled the GTech game. As a true frosh, I bet that dumbass didn't even know their playbook. That was my point, at the same age, there is no way Young could have done what Jefferson did. I was simply responding to that idiot who brought up Young's USC game performance, which had nothing to do with Jefferson.

Only bc they're searching for something to backup their dumb-arse opinion. They'd rather live in denial that JJ is the next Kodi Burns or will struggle as badly as Jarrett Lee did. They're not smart enough to see a bigtime talent when it's staring them in the face.

ok doctor phil, way to explain my feeling to me
IF JL plays well I will support him and IF JJ plays well I will support him too. I will support a QB which brings in the W's for the purple and gold. AT THIS POINT IN TIME everything leads many of us to believe JJ is that QB

Jarrett Lee has more experience, knows the playbook better, and is a more mature young man. He will be the starter after Jefferson throws three picks against Washington. HOLLA!

What exactly am I about??
Is it that Im sick of people on here dogging JL?
or that Im sick of people on here having the mindset, that our qb problems are solved based on the performanc of meaningless bowl game?
Let me qualify what I mean by meaningless....
comapered to AU, USC, Fla, on the road and Bama, Miss state at home...
Then YES, gatech in the last game of a failed season is for the most part a meaning
less football game.

this is the attitude we all should have,,, there is nothing wrong with a fan favoring a certian player... apparently you are higher on JJ than I am.. thats fine.
You may not feel that way about JL, but you know good and well there are those on here that do.
As I said earlier is fuking pathetic.

dude, you have serious issues with this QB discussion.
you get pissed when someone says "lee sucks" but you discredit and tear down what the other QB did in the 3 games he played in.
oh and also: Vince Young =/= Jarrett Lee
they both may be from texas, but that's about as far as the comparisons go.

I hope you are right hoss but I will tell you what about the only thing I have faith in is God....most other things have to be proven to me....Has JJ proven that he can be a big time SEC QB yet??? To me absolutely not.

no, i dont tear down anyone. Never have. Thats a bold face lie.
DUde you are not that stupid.. you know exactly what I meant when comapring VY/JL.... VY just as colt mcoy, stafford and numerous other young college qbs at point struggled,,, that didnt mena they stayed that way, I for one chose to believe JL isnt either.... Its really not that hard to understand.
Besides how the hell do you know what JL is gonna be doing 3/4 yrs from now?
DId you guess that VY was gonna go mental or that Rohan davey was gonna turn into a fat thief?
