Anyone who judges a QB performance solely on stats is an absolute idiot. A QB's performance is measured by offensive output. JJ didn't throw a hell of a lot of INT's because he is terrified of throwing the ball to anyone with a defender within 5 yards.
This may be the most idiotic thing I've ever read. This isn't the NFL.

But its not JJ's fault IMO.
Some of it is, some of it isn't.
I say fault goes on the coaches.

He has a crappy coaching staff
+1 Hope gonzo can help crowton.
because gary has lost his fricking mind when it comes to calling games.

that will not only lead to JJ's and Lee's ruination, but probably the next in line as well.
I think so too.

JJ is winging this without much help IMO.
pretty much

When did we tie that game?

Yeah, JJ isn't getting help, Lee isn't and probably not Garrett. But to say the QB who led LSU to the worst offensive output in memory is improving is very very shaky. LSU needs to bring in someone, an experienced QB (someone like Doug Peterson) who can mentor these guys. Until that happens LSU is doomed at the QB position.

LSU is frickED with crowton guiding these guys.
can you imagine the practices?
GC: I want you to run backwards and then pitch it behind you to ridley near the out of bounds marker.
JJ: Coach, I don't want to question your coaching, but isn't that kind of silly? Why not run to the wide side?
GC: Trust me jordan, they'll never see this coming!

When you have two totally different QBs after 2 years:
One has very slowly gotten a smidge better
The other one has gotten worse
Then I think this is a coaching all the way.

Yeah, I disagree with people who say that JJ doesn't have it "between the ears."
He hasn't shown improvement in some areas because he doesn't have a chance. The mentoring on this staff is pathetic. It would take a prodigy to excel in the Miles/Crowton offense.

or a RS Senior QB with a backup running QB to run the QB draws.
?

OK well finally we have a consensus. He has the skills but needs to be coached up. The debate is over he did improve despite all of the obstacles before him. Enter BG stage left. Fixed it! Next...will T Bob and co improve? Will our RB's stay healthy? Will our def give us more 3 and outs? As they go so goes JJ.

another genius that has figuered out how to make themselves feel better by spouting meaninless stats of JJ vs MF.

Anyone who ignores stats is both ignorant and an absolute fool.
JJ played well in the Washington game, but better in the Auburn game and that game was against tuffer a football team.
He showed an ability to overcome in the Ga game. On the road, big game, and not playing well, but he took the LSU football team on his back and drove them 90 yds with passing and running to give us the lead.
JJ even showed well in the Bama game till he got knocked. He helped LSU to a halftime lead and almost identical total yds and time of possession as Bama in the 1st half.
So, to imply that the kid didn't get any better from start to finish of the season is only agenda speak and not reality. imo

Only thing is we didnt seem to have much a problem in 2007.
So with that fact in mind Im gonna have to disagree with the above statement.

you said it was jj fault that we couldn't run the ball. sorry if that makes u mad
Ok, if Tigerlee didnt say it, I will to an extent...JJ had about %30 to do with why we could run the ball, b/c no one respected our down field throwing ability, or lack there of...Defenses stunted, ran bump and run nickel packages and loaded the box the majority of the time against us...you dont have to run to setup the pass!!! there is no fricking book on football saying you have to do that...they both setup each other...you do what you do better first, we couldnt do either...

LSU needs a running game bad for the qbs they have there now. The Qb's have shown that they can not take over a game.

Billy Gionzales is not a QB coach, he is a WR coach.....he does not work with throwing Mechanics, he will break down film and adjust routes and plays to formations, its an X's and O's position, not a teach a QB to be better position...
oh yeah, I forgot, mark me down on your quick growing list too...
