He needs to concentrate on football instead of videos and interviews.

Iknow what he was talking about...my point is that this was nothing compared to what some people are going through in life......just keeping it in perspective, which he seems to lack.

However, JJ takes it too far. "I" won all these games as a starter and leader. "I" will do anything to get that job back". Not, I'll do anything to help the team, and if they need me I'll be there.....no he goes to "ME, ME, ME"....
Q: What you would you put on your resume? Why you should they use and in what ways would you excel?
A: “I’ve been in the toughest battles there is throughout our schedule before and I have a 20-7 record that’s very high for a quarterback’s standard at LSU. I’m a leader. I’ve been leading this team for the past three years. I know what it takes to win. A lot of us on this team know what it takes to win. I can help this team, so whenever Coach Miles gives me the opportunity to get on the field, I’m going to do what it takes to win.”

did you watch the video? he doesn't really come off like that. could have said some things better, some A LOT better, but it's not bad by any stretch. in other words, typical JJ interacting with the media.

It'd be great if you could link the source of all these quotes. I would really like to get the whole picture.

He was asked to state his case for getting playing time and what would his football resume' say. Watch the video before spouting off

JJ has "0" leadership qualities. He is a distraction and will continue to be so. The team has won in spite of him.

saying "I will do anything to get the starting job back"....after the team is 5-0 and scoring 14 more points a game that he did in the first 5 games last year....he really wants to go there.......it is all about jj, not about lsu...believe what you want.

Agreed. Saw headline on SI.com and was pissed. Then saw full interview and what he said and how he said it all makes sense. I'd be surprised if he wasn't coached to give those answers. Confidence is key for all our quarterbacks. JJ is not going to say "well, now that I'm back on the team I think I'll just sit on the bench and let Jarrett handle things..."

I like Les and 80% speaks for itself but why is JJ even being allowed to speak to the media.

Q: Did you hear the boos when you entered the game against Kentucky?
JEFFERSON: Yeah, I definitely heard it. I mean it's just fans being emotional. We have the most emotional fans in the country. They like football. They pay attention to everything that football players do. They heard the rumors. They heard the facts, but they're just fans being emotional.
Dick question, and a great answer.

The controversial comments were made by the ESPN personalities, not JJ.
