I am worn out with people picking apart every single word JJ says. If he is good enough to win back the starting position, wouldn't that be helping the team win? It would mean he is doing a better job than Lee. So what is wrong him saying he wants to be the starter, other than those who just don't want him to regardless of whether he is the better choice.

Right now Lee is the starter, and unless he screws up, he will continue to be. As Chicken said earlier, it is time to move on. It is time to quit bashing JJ. You don't have to like everything he says or how he says it, but enough is enough. The truth, he isn't the one now distracting the team. It seems to be some of the fans, if the team is reading the rant.

The controversial comments were made by the ESPN personalities, not JJ.

Their editing of his comments were misleading as well.

From what I've heard he didn't want to as he was trying to put it all behind him but sometime between Sat. and yesterday something changed.... Maybe LSU put him up to it or he just decided to face the questions and then put it to rest. Who knows.

This is a good example of a situation that Miles and the coaching staff should not have allowed JJ access to the media--if you want to construe this as censorship, so be it! ESPN's request to interview him should have been denied.

JJ needs to stay far away from the media. Anything he says will be taken to extremes and he sometimes words things in a way that seems inappropriate. He can't win pleading his case to the media.

or it could just mean that Les still plays favorites and we'll lose 2 games again

of course he was required to answer like that

How else does a QB describe his resume'.

Look you can hate on JJ all you want for being a bad QB but to overanalyze and nitpick his quotes are pretty pathetic.
LSU put him in front of the media, he just didn't pop up and start spitting all these quotes out. He was asked questions and answered them well.

It's really a shame. Lee and JJ have a unique chance to go out a whole lot better than how they came in. However this kind of talk by JJ could lead to a total team implosion.

If all this is true there is one person to blame - Les Miles. You really can't blame JJ for his competitiveness to regain the starting position. JLee is the sensible personality in all this. Les controls the situation. If he controls it like he did last year it fails.

I just never understand how JJ is so confident in interviews but so unconfident on the field. He does have serious talent but he plays scared.

he is not pleading his case but rather just answering questions. If inbreed retards can't handle him speaking then that is on them, NOT JJ, Les Miles, or LSU.

Honestly I think this is a pure result of Crowton sucking. That guy was giving no guidance to JJ or JL.....how many times did you see either of those guys on the phone with the booth?.....Crowton had dennis dixon completely screwed up in the head when he left oregon and now hes screwing up that qb in maryland.....Both JJ and JL could have been solid I believe if crowton hadnt screwed them both up
