I predict he throws 2 touchdowns----------to Alabama.

They should just pluck Sheppard out of his high school, suit him and start him at QB this Saturday. There, now I'm an official Rant Coach.

Great, the rant just gained one more moron.
Lee is a Freshman!!!
Lee is a Freshman!!!

The tough thing about football or any sport is you can't be a leader if you can't lead by your play. It is hard to kick a guy in the azz for missing a block or dropping a pass when unfortunate to say You are throwing int's/picks sixes as consistenly as td's.

I'm with you. I think he should have had more snaps in case Lee gets hurt. Hatch is hurt isn't he? Besides, I really don't want a true freshman running the team next year.

Just like JPW wasn't the "future" for you?

You're predicting that in 09 that we will again be playing for second place in the West?

RS will be on the field next year in some capacity. He's got speed and skills similar to Percy Harvin except he can pass. Even he doesn't get any snaps at QB (which he will), he is a game changer. Hold on to your hats!
The only way we see any significant play from JJ is if we are blowing the s**t out of bama or if we are getting blown out. Either way, I support whoever is behind center.

"Kreg Jennings", Yes I know who Russel Sheppard is...I've watched him play sevaral times over the past two years & as recently as two Thursdays ago vs Cy Falls HS...no doubt he's the fricking' man. That's why he's enrolling early in January...he's the future
Don't get me twisted, I'm purple & gold to the core...since birth, but I'm also not a blind idiot. Jarret Lee is not the future. If he was Sheppard wouldn't be enrolling early....Jefferson would have already been red-shirted this year.
You can attribute 35 of Georgia's point two weeks to Lee, I saw it I was at the game. My point, Lee & Hatch are not getting it done against top 15 teams...Jefferson should have had more PT by now

The one think I like about RS coming next year is his motivation and leadership..
That's ridiculous. Would put us in the same position next year of training a new freshman qb. That's a step backwards. Give Lee the keys and get him ready for next year.
Successful teams always have experienced qbs.

Lee will most likely be taken out the game due to injury and we will see JJ at QB
At which point Bama will stop blitzing or what? So you are assuming Lee will be injured due to the blitz but not JJ? Are you even thinking?

I strongly believe that we must come out on the 1st series and throw deep on all 3 downs to throw off Alabama's defense.
No, obviously you aren't thinking.

I think it was always the plan to RS JJ even when they put him in for a few snaps early in the season...I think they were going the medical route as part of the plan. But, I think Miles also realized that he has 3 QBs on scholly with one now out of the game. JJ has to be ready to lead the team if anything happens to JL. We need both badly.
JL was not supposed to play this year...and now he's leading our time. I think it was too much too quickly and nerves have gotten the best of him. Plus, it's not like the defense was patting him on the back and making the stop when they needed to so he could get back in the game. Too much inner turmoil. Yet he's still the 3rd rated SEC qb behind Tebow and Stafford. Not bad.

Making tons of assumptions there man. And what happens when JJ comes in and throws his first int? Then gets racked up and fumbles. And what happens next year when Sheppard looks like the true freshman that he'll be and forgets the plays and throws a pick? Ya know at some point this whole weird fantasy of this Messiah-QB that steps in from day one and walks on water- has got to cease. Ya'll are going to get frustrated at a whole bunch of young guys because of this pathetic notion that very likely no one can live up to.
