You are a true idiot. He is 3-1 as a starting QB. That's pretty good in my book. His only lose was a defensive breakdown against Arkansas.

We had one drive of more than 5 yards in the second half against arkansas. We had under 40 yards with 32 or so coming on one play. Against not only one of the worst defenses in the SEC, but the NCAA as well.

GT 2nd half we stalled.

UW we were sputtery.

Tonight we didn't put it away until late AGAIN.

does a quartr or a half mean you've changed qbs?
Your logic or lack therof I should say sorta makes my head wanna pop.

yeah, that really instills confidence. When we are winning.

by the way, your logic leaves a lot to be desired.

WE still need to develop a vertical passing game, and right now it just isn't there
If the O-line would actually block for him, this might happen.

I also don't think we have seen enough of JJ in reasonably normal circumstances to form the conclusion that he can't get it done.

I'm going to save my criticism of Jordan Jefferson until he's thrown--oh I don't know--maybe his fifth interception.

I'll let these other "fans" worry about:

"windups"
"throwing motion"
"overthrows"
"underthrows"
"missed reads"
"footwork"
"chunking the ball out of bounds"
"no command of an intermediate and deep passing game"

and all the million other reasons these armchair QB coaches with their microscopes seem to constantly fabricate in order to criticize our starting QB.

Me, on the other hand?

I'll just sit back and enjoy the wins.

Oh and the lack of interceptions.

Amazing--according to them, JJ can't read defenses, but he has yet to throw a pick?

Yet the QB on the bench who evidently could read defenses threw 17 picks.

Interesting.

So it was the Cardiac Tigers, again. Don't blame that on JJ. It's been Les Miles calling card since he's be in Baton Rouge.

Flynn led drives and our offense rarely stalled.

Jamarcus led drives and our offense rarely stalled (barring the throat frick of alley broussard and vincent up the gut against AU).

All of this criticism for a sophomore QB starting only his 5th game.

All the more impressive for JJ.

I DO have a few knocks on JJ but I would say a few are legit. We haven't developed a STEADY medium/long passing game, is it because he can't do it or is it because the coaches aren't calling it? He seems to hold on to the ball too long, yes he can 'avoid the sack' but when you have an open WR you hit him when you can and not wait and run for 3 yards (LaFell was open the entire play on the TD last week).

OH shite YOU GOT ME! The only qualm I had with Flynn all year was in the Arkansas game and even THEN that was more on the coaches for leaving him in when he was getting treatment on his shoulder after EVERY drive.

And few QBs in the last few years had as much constant criticism as JR did other than JL. There were ranters constantly carping about JR.

How are you saying this when he barely had enough time to take a 3 step drop before he had a Vandy defender in his face. The O-line needs to man-up and give JJ some pass protection.

There have been several times he had guys open and didn't throw it. Yeah the OL has been shitty but he has held too long too.

And even then...with no threat of 15+ yard pass he is going to face that. If you give people no reason to come off the line, they WILL stack the box and bring the heat.

And this criticism hasn't been made about any of our other QBs.

He has started 4 games (2 this year, 2 last year). He is 19 years old. Too bad he isn't perfect in just 4 games.

JJ may or may not develop into a good QB. It is just way too early to decide that he can't or won't be any good.
