All Jefferson cheerleaders need to wake up. The kid is young and has talent, but he is a deer in headlights and is not accurate.....with the latter being the most important factor. Over time, he will eventually learn the offense and read defenses better.....but I don't see him being anything more than a average QB due to his poor accuracy.
How many passes did the WRs drop again? How many rushing yards did we have? I wonder how many other programs have been ready to run a sophomore QB into his momma's basement after a 9 win season?

What....throwing 2 yard hitch passes? Stats can be misleading mon ami. Where in the offensive rankings did that 62% completion percentage get us? 112th I think. How many times did Jefferson flat out miss wide open WRs streaking for touchdowns this year? How many slants were thrown behind the receiver (but caught) for a minimal gain? You folks want to talk drops in the bowl game....what about the incredible catches Lafell made on poor throws?
This is a pissing match I can win. I wonder what his "take a sack" percentage is.....

I think this is damn good for a true soph. that has no running game to speak of, and a OC that makes foolish play calls. He is not in there calling his on plays. He is doing what he is told.

But his head coach said this was going to be the best O line since he had gotten to LSU. Keep in mind that Miles was a O lineman in college. Miles is the head idiot.
Maybe he said that because there was lots of potential there. They also got to go against our D-line in practice so that made them look good.
I think with a coach that could develop QBs, Jefferson will be a good QB, but we need to get rid of Crowton. He stats were a little worse than Flynn in 2007 (minus completion percentage) and he played with no running game. Jefferson may have been a problem this year, but he was far from the biggest problem

Our entire offense sucks brah. Oline is inconsistent, no run game, and receivers dropped balls.
I agree with this. Jefferson is not an All-SEC caliber QB, but he had a lot working against him this year. Does he need to learn the rules (clock rolls after an offensive penalty), and how to manage a game (especially inside of 2 minutes)? Yes... With a productive OL the running game improves, and he inevitably has a better chance to succeed with more balance. We can win an SEC championship w/ Jefferson, but we need to improve in several other areas as well.

1st he is not calling the plays.
2nd A QBs best friend is a running game. (he had none)
3rd The O line was not good and he had to make alot of the throws on the run.
4th Remember last year all the pic 6s? I dont mind the sacks when the other option is throwing it up for grabs.
I am not telling you he is the best qb LSU has had, but with a good D and a running game he can take you to the SECCG.

That's awesome shite homey. Now, can you give me our rushing stats on the year? Also, can you remind me how many times our offensive line got blown the frick off the los? JJ needs to work on a lot of things buy you can't pin all of our offensive woes on his shoulders.

Moron Alert. Did you see the Nineteen passes we dropped or did you happen to see the defense we threw up when Penn St was in the red zone 4 times and we held them. Lay off the shite chief

Don't get me wrong....Jefferson is not the "goat" here. I don't think he is an "elite" quarterback, but he is far from the only problem on this team. In fact, Crowton/Miles may very well be most of his problem!!!! I can't argue that one.
I still stand by my point that the kid is not very accurate. Think about the entire year....how many throws did he hit WRs in stride?

If you truly believe that then answer me this one question that no JJ hater on here has been able to adequately answer. frick, nobody has even attempted to answer my riddle:
Name me the last freshman/sophomore qb since Tommy Hodson to achieve expectations of LSU fans.
If some of you morons had your way Chris Garrett would be the starter next season, and when he struggles (because he is young and inexperienced) you will chew him up and spit him out just like you do every goddamn year. Just like you did with JJ, Lee, JaMarcus, Randal, Mauck (yes, even Mauck was a 'shitty' qb back in 2002 in all games prior to Florida), and the list goes on...

5 yard curl routes and holding on to the ball as he was sacked repeatedly skewed that number upward

How many sacks did he take on Friday? Or are you just going to ignore the fact that he improved and has learned to step up and evade the pass rush which resulted in moving the chains??

Sack, I think you are correct. Its all tied togeather. A balanced O will help everyone all around.

Considering Gonzales found problems with our WRs on his first day I'd say coaching is a MAJOR problem that plagued our offense all year. It didn't help to see Crowton call a middle screen with no timeouts and under 30 seconds left. He needs to be getting the heat right now. Not JJ.

None! He did a much better job in the bowl game. Gotta admit that. I'm not ready to celebrate his performance though.....
I honestly hope you folks are right....cause we got Jefferson for two more years barring injury! Miles will make sure of that....

Brees couldn't do any better. The oline can't give the qb any time to throw or open any holes for the rb's. I don't think jj is the man or lee but in their defense that line is shite. It destroyed a good qb (lee) last year who had to run for his life after each snap and did the same to jj this year. What seems to be the problem is the coaches developing the talent we have.

BTW, I vote Crowton is more of a problem than Jefferson. Much more of a problem!!!
Let's hope Gonzales has a BIG influence on the offense in 2010. God help us all if Crowton is the one man band.
