It's always a big game but we're not rivals. The only added drama is that Saban abandoned us for them by way of Miami. Take out the Saban element and there is no emotion there. Just another game against a really good team.
The real rivalry was with Tulane. The closest thing now to a rivalry is Ole Miss but they've got State.
And that lame Boot Trophy thing with Arkansas isn't fostering a rivalry there either.
We have no rivals, no tradition of hate. It's sad.

...not rivals... but saban had the bama bye week scheduled to the week before the LSU game in 2009...
...not rivals... but this game is set in stone as the first Saturday in November...
...not rivals... but for nine years only championship games and CFP playoffs games MIGHT see as much NFL talent on the field...
