Hester actually wasn't better at the little things though. Remember Charles Scott is and was the better pass blocker of the two.
No he wasn't.

it took multiple failed drug tests,
do you have a legit source for this? According to Jack Crowe, they requested full disclosure on this from LSU and failed drug tests weren't the reason he was kicked off the team
I'm not saying coaches don't play some players who are borderline, but you don't just quit worrying about it and throw the guy with the most raw talent on the field.

No he wasn't.

did sammich just say losing 1 out of every 3 games almost doesn't matter?
Damn, you really can't read. No Sammich did not say that.

all I've seen Scott catch is a couple of slip screens...you may be right, but Hester is pretty damned good catching the ball, so I don't know how you arrive at Scott being "a lot" better...

Nobody ever talks about that or being a great blocker when it comes to Barry Sanders. That is why is not the best RUNNING BACK ever.

quote:Scott was the pass catcher of the group last year. Hester caught a lot the year before but that was due to him being the main back. Every time we had a designed pass to a RB, it was going to Scott pretty much.

No Sammich did not say that.

Scott caught 12 balls for 115 yards, 2 TDs and a long of 20
Hester caught 14 balls for 106 yards, 1 TD and a long of 28...not counting, of course, the catch vs. Arky that was called back

after just watching Miles' media day press conference today on lsusports.net, its obvious that Charles Scott is the starting running back. He praised Scott for looking great in camp as well as being a team leader.

Hester was on the field 4 times as much as Scott. Last year, pretty much every designed pass play went to Scott.

Miles is never mis-leading to the media

evidently 12 went to him and 14 went to Hester
again I ask...based on his 12 catches, how did you arrive at your opinion that Scott is "a lot better receiver"? Break it down in football terms.
According to his draft report on nfl.com...
quote:
Regarded as the best receiving fullback in college football, Jacob Hester did a stellar job playing halfback during the Tigers' national championship march in 2007.

Who? Les Miles? He's coaching at Michigan this year, or didn't you get the Herbsteit memo?

Guys, KW has had over 100 carries in his LSU career and just hasn't shown anything special either to me, but most importantly to the coaching staff. After 200 carries will everyone say he just is good, not great?? After 300?? 400?? Get real. There are a ton of big, fast college TB that watch the pros play on Sunday. There are alot of 200 lb, 4.6-4.7 TBs that a making a great NFL career for themselves. I want LSU to win, I want KW to be great; KW hasn't shown it and probably won't.
rushing 146-914 6.3 avg. 11 td's
receiving 13-127 9.8 avg. 1 td
Please teel me what else this man has to do to get respect.

there is something to be said about being a gamer even if he does fumble in practice (which nobody knows). He has like 150 college carries so far with 0 fumbles.
would rohan davey have played a down under miles?
