did we have a much harder schedule than 2007?
I believe we had more opponents ranked in the Top 15 last year.....could be wrong, but don't think so.

i know to run charles scott and KW in the 2nd half against UK, and to bench flynn in the first half against arkie
What about to give the ball to Hester on those 4th down calls against UF?
Or Hester making the TD saving tackle against the AU defender that had intercepted the ball.
Again, our coaches aren't perfect......but they won a NC. Luck or not, it's in the case.

and Miles definitely made a mistake at rb against kentucky
I believe someone missed a block completely. It's on my disc. I know it's on others as well.

You are short changing the intricacies of the RB position.
you mean receiving ability? keiland had more yards (at a higher rate) and the same # of TDs as hester
keiland's not a great blocker, but he's not terrible. hester is overrated as a blocker, and people forget when he did poorly (while crucifying keiland for any missed block).
keiland fumbled less than hester also

we played 2 top 10 teams on the road (including the national champion) and 2 other top 25 teams on the road
no, the schedule wasn't close to being as tough

what about when he couldn't get it done against MSU on the goaline and keiland had to be used instead?

you're saying keiland couldn't have caught him, or wouldn't have tried to catch him?

See there is an impasse here. My point is, you can't know, unless you have access to all the film the coaches do, how well a RB does all those little things.
And those little things mean a lot when you have a stable full of RBs all that are capable of leading you to a championship with their talent.
Maybe the coaches aren't making the right decisions with the RBs, maybe they didn't make it last year. We just don't know.
*Although I will agree with the opinion that not keeping the VERY hot Scott in against Kentucky was a huge mistake...

hell our top 2 opponents last year (OSU, VT) were not close to being as good as even their final ranking

well explain to me why keiland's last play against AU was a 46 yard TD reception
what did he do wrong on that play? what aspect of film on that run led coaches to bench him?

it seems to be a common trend on the rant to always give credit to scott for this game, but to rarely give keiland the benefit of the doubt. i really don't get it, especially with the auburn game example
