KW,by the way, is my favorite of the three, but Scott is going to be the #1 back in certain games. I just have the gut feeling based on Miles and Crowton and what they did last year.

No one's debating that, but I think you're completely off by saying Scott will be drafted higher than Williams. The NFL throws college production out of the window when they're evaluating backs. It's a meat market. KW ran a 4.43 in high school at 208. He'll more than likely run a sub 4.4 at 220 or 225. If he doesn't get injured, he'll be drafted before Scott. I think Scott could be a late 2nd or early 3rd rounder.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think Scott is a late first, early second and KW is a mid to late 2nd. In my opinion, a lot of the stock of both will have to do with Crowton's schemes. Sure, you can get a guy based on talent alone and forget playing time (see Kenny Davidson at LSU), but whichever puts up the better all-around numbers should be the first selected pick. I'm going with Scott just because I think Crowton is going to make him the next Hester, but with more versatilty.

well even if Scott has more rushes, the fact that KW was "the man" in a more pro-style scheme will help him out. it will at least give him excuses. scott's success will be from a non-pro, spread-option based offense

That's not how it works... at all. Just ask Ray Rice and Mike Hart how that worked out for them. Now, you have to run well to be a first rounder, otherwise you get heaped in with all the other 220+ guys running mid 4.5s.

I said SHOULD. I still think there's a chance that Scott gets more carries and yards. I alluded to Kenny Davidson at LSU, who was a backup DL. So, I do realize, it's not all about numbers. In this specific case, though, I see scouts getting on the Scott wagon based on all the things that we shall see him do because of Crowton.

I agree. Dude, saying he's a late 2nd to (ETA: early) 3rd round pick (which I've already said) is me complimenting his talent. That would mean he's picked in the top 50-70 picks... probably the 6th (or so) runningback taken.

Ok, but I still think we underestimate Charles Scott. He could turn out to be an animal and get 20 carries a game...now, I realize that this doesn't bode well in a Crowton-style offense, but he's basically in the same mold as many of the great, heavier RB's we've seen.

If we're talking NFL draft, Scott will be a higher pick than Williams. That's a no-brainer. A 230 pound hybrid back (hopefully) with soft hands? NFL's wet dream.

hahaha, "No-brainer", huh? Take a look at the top Running Backs of the class of 2010

Yea, you are a complete moron if you really believe that statement...no-brainer...jesus, where do some of you come up with this shite?

do you think he's going to become a major factor in the passing game? i just don't see it personally

hell, crowton made hester become a non-factor in the receiving game when he was pretty beastly at it under jimbo

Hey Keiland or Mel Kiper...whichever...the ESPN thing shows just how shallow and moronic you are. Do you also believe that preseason rankings are the way to tell how good a team is. Fire back when you come with something besides a Kiper board.

Nah, but I do see him leading all other RB's in catches.

no, not ESPN. www.nfldraftscout.com. Site run by former NFL draft scouts. They know a thing or two about talent. Try reading up on some football if you wanna be taken seriously on a football board.
