Guys, KW has had over 100 carries in his LSU career and just hasn't shown anything special either to me, but most importantly to the coaching staff. After 200 carries will everyone say he just is good, not great?? After 300?? 400?? Get real. There are a ton of big, fast college TB that watch the pros play on Sunday. There are alot of 200 lb, 4.6-4.7 TBs that a making a great NFL career for themselves. I want LSU to win, I want KW to be great; KW hasn't shown it and probably won't.

Respectfully disagree. Seems to me KW will make a big run in a game (Va. Tech, others) and then disappear, i.e., not play. I have to assume his lack of playing time results from perhaps a less-than stellar attitude, plus, Scott & Murphy (and Hester last yr) are talented in their own right and deserve PT and carries. There is to more to the story perhaps, but KW is the entire package and when given the chance, has produced.

TigerJeff.. Don't disagree with your thoughts but how much more time will you give KW to prove himself. The VaTech run, no doubt exciting, was an uncontested sweep to the right, went upfield, hurdled a man, and broke clear. To be honest, it was exciting when he left his feet, but first, it was bad running style (Murphy does that too and is going to have to stop) and alot of backs could have done the same. A guy gets a ten yard run and everyone drools. But you have got to look at what he did physically and skill-wise ,and factor out the favorable support. That is what the coaches are seeing and what to see more from KW.

Miles thinks Keiland still needs to fulfill his potential.

As I have said already, after more than 100 carries what are you expecting a back to show you that he hasn't already shown? KW is good but not great. CS will get more totes, Murphy in set situations, and Ridley increasingly more. The TB and FB situation will make itself very clear by the third game. Don't be surprised if KW gets fewer carries than last year. Also there may be things behind the scene with team issues that may be in KW's way.

I hope I'm wrong about KW.. but so far I am not. I wouln't be surprised if #32, #26, and #34 gets more carries than him this year.

Running Back By Committee is the problem.

I don't think it's a problem......I just think that KW hasn't done enough to seperate himself from the other two RB's.

Hester did that last year......who will do it this year????

Some people will never be pleased by a RB unless they try to run over everyone on every play. Jacob Hester was barely above average last year and you'd think he roped the moon just because he ran tough and is white. These same people thought Domanick Davis wasn't a hair on LaBrandon Toefield's arse, etc etc. All Keiland has done throughout his career so far is make big plays every time he gets an opportunity but because he doesn't run over people (the white trash style du jour) he is a soft piece of shite who the rant is ready to give all his carries to a guy who's only experience is in the all white MPSA league.

That is just stupid......JH carried this team last year and did EVERYTHING asked of him from the coaches......run, block & catch.

You go need to read the Scott interview to see what the other 3 thought about JH. It has nothing to do w/ his skin color.

What's so funny about that......really?

I mean, other than the fact that you think he only gets praised because he's white.

everytime? come on now. i never drank the hester kool aide, but dude rushed for over 1000 yards. and keiland had too many runs where he got to the line and that was it. im a keiland fan, but i tend to agree with most others in this thread that something is missing with him. personally i hope he finds it this season.

Hester did everything that was asked of him, had a nice season. Can't take that away. BUT Hester was just barely above average as a running back all the way til the end, I could only imagine the numbers Williams or Scott could have put up with 200+ carries. You have got to be kidding me if you don't think a large number of people on this board don't like Hester better than the rest because he was white. The same people wanted Flynn to start over JR and still can't understand why Tommy Banks didn't get 20 carries a game his entire career.

Likewise, Its obvious Miles/Porter have certain players who will always be their pets and certain players who will always be in the "doghouse" for whatever reason. Keiland makes a 50 yard catch and run TD versus Auburn and DOES NOT GET THE BALL THE REST OF THE GAME. Charles Scott is untacklable during the first half of the UK game but gets only 2 more carries the rest of the game so Miles can repeatedly stuff the ball in an injured Hester's gut for 2 yard gains leading to a loss.

7 carries for 126 yards and 2 TDs versus against the #5 rushing defense in the nation was garbage. Like a ranter said earlier, he shouldve never hurdled cause thats just poor form. Hester done woulda runned over somebody dat play and got us 9 yards and a cool youtube highlight.

i really would love to hear people explain these 2 situations, b/c i've as of yet heard nothing close to a logical explanation for this
