For the last few games, the south portion of the parade grounds has been closed to tailgating with signs saying stay off the grass. All the Greeks are in close quarters at the north end, and there is pretty much no place to run around for the kids.
I have tailgated on the parade grounds with my kids, 4 and 6, but my kids are Krunk and preschool champs at beer pong. The LSU students there are pretty friendly early in the day, but it gets a little crazier closer to kickoff. I would say it would be ok tailgate on the parade grounds, but leave early.

Was on the PGs last weekend east side with my kiddos. We were set up with friends under the trees and we had no problems/lots of shade and fun.
Stay away from the N/W sides and you got no probs....although a stroll thru with other adults is always fun!
