Kiffin is a lousy recruiter and always has been. He's just too lazy to put in the time and effort.
Now, he CAN go out and pay top dollar in the portal, but anyone could do that if they had donors who were desperate for even the first sniff of a conference championship in 60 years.
But even with that, he can't coach all that portal talent to anything close to a championship. Then, most of them will leave after this season and they'll have to try and rent a new group of expensive mercenaries for next year. And he'll flop again.
I think the Plantation is stuck with him, which is very good news for LSU.
