Overall he played well. Had a few bad passes, a few drops, one or two bad scrambles. But he did make some good, key throws, got a nice TD, and didn't give the game away. He'll build on this game and only get better.

coming off a 40-27 win against the #3 team in the nation??? You are an idiot. Stop posting. Never come back, fgt.
at the quarterback position dumbass...

context is a clue. use it.

eta: same for lsuzealot. we have become accustomed to mediocre qb play to the point where people are posting "lee did great" when in fact he did not. THATS ALL im saying.
The team as a whole is very good.

Why is everyone upset over so-so QB play, it's been said time and again that in order for LSU to do well they just need a QB that can manage the football game, that's exactly what Lee did tonight.

Compared to last years opening victory against a team with half the team suspended and only scoring 30 points.

A Lee lead offense scored 40 on the #3 ranked team in the country and put up the same type of numbers as Jordan (except in said opening victory where he had one of his best games)!

Lee could have played better...and he will play better!

Big "Victory for LSU"!

So you don't take the dropped passes, or the limited playcalling into context? Really dude...you are a terrible poster. The sad thing is that you are not alone.

That pretty much sums it up.

Lee was super conservative, which was a good game plan.

On the other hand, he was totally out of sync with his receivers on routes. The timing was just awful, but I suppose that's what happens when you have receivers who spent the last year getting their timing down with Jefferson, who's timing on throws is day-and-night different than Lee's.

There were a lot of "almost" big plays, and optimistically, I think that Lee and the receivers just need to get more used to each other in game situations.

And although the timing on routes was worse than I had anticipated, Lee's abilities to play safe and minimize mistakes was better than I had anticipated.

So going forward, I think it will be a great passing year for the Tigers, and given that we scored 40 points against #3 Oregon, a great offensive scoring year too.

i look at a qb that still looks extremely scared at the first sign of collapsing pocket and consistently throws off his back foot. If you are excited about that, Im happy for you.

I liked Mauck...he threw for 28 tds and i think about 2800 yds.
Flynn was certainly good enough.
Jamarcus had an incredible year in 06
I would take herb tyler any day because of the option he ran so well.

14 interceptions and less than 65%

56%, less than 2500 yards, 11 interceptions and 21 touchdowns, did not reach 1 of your criteria

Where his season high of rushing in any season was 279 yards on 96 attempts?

40 points came with 4 turnovers. How many points would we have scored with 275 yards total office without our D?! Not 40 - we need to keep improving

We won, that's what counts.
