So when Jefferson has his next pathetic performance, I can boo and it ok? Then I can come out and say "its obvious he just does not have it"

It is not like Jefferson has been lighting up weaker and even level competition all year. It would be different if he was.

I'd like for you to point out to me the time JJ had a game this bad? keep in mind this game was against La Tech. to answer your question yes, JJ should and would get booed if he played like this.

We ruined Jarret Lee, and I don't think he will ever become a good QB here. I hope he transfers for his sake. The look on his face all night made me feel sorry for the kid. He had an awful game last night, no doubt about it he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, but he needs a fresh start somewhere else.

has anyone considered that maybe we didn't ruin him, maybe he is just not very good at football. i have yet to see him play what could be described as a good game, bur i've seen him have many bad games. it doesn't make him a bad guy. he's just not very good.

You do realize Tech has a better defense than ULL, Washington, and equal to Georgia this season?

Its not like they are the worse defense they have played all season. But alas people are too dense to understand that, they see LA Tech and assume they are the worst team in nation.

I also do not remember booing from LSU when Jefferson played bad against Ole Miss and Arkansas last year. The reason people boo Lee is because of last season its plain and simple. He has become the whipping boy of the LSU "fans"

Shaggy please take your blinders off. Are you really going to reference last years ole miss and arkansas games as knocks against JJ? He was the only one for our team on the field that hadn't packed it in yet on his first two starts against SEC opponents. Give me a break. I guarantee if JJ had played as poorly as Lee had in as many games as Lee had the fans would be calling for his head too!

so the argument now is that lee's performance shouldn't count b/c it came against the mighty defense of LaTech? why does he get this enormous benefit of the doubt from some people? he has never been anything other than very bad at quarterback, yet people continue to defend him. i'm at a loss....

Telling me to take my blinders off? When ya'll are the ones who reference last year at every single opportunity to rip on him. It ok to use last year as an excuse for 1 player but not the other. The ignorance of some of you is unbelievable.

Shaggy I only referenced last year because YOU brought it up in "trying" to provide a negative reason for JJ. Let's reference this year then. Based on the performace of the 2 QBs that have started games for LSU who has looked better? Who has better command and leadership presence of the team? Who do the guys rally around? In the end it doesn't even matter that the answer is JJ. What matters is our OC hasn't played to the strengths of ANY of our offensive skill players. Bottom line last night sucked, but there is no argument for who our starting QB is or any reason for you to defend Lee. If people personally booed him that's one thing, but the product that was on the field that we the fans pay for was not acceptable from the HC down to the players. Don't call me ignorant, it's completely uncalled for.

Ah the ALMOST again... why does it apply to Lee and not to Jefferson???

You're obviously a fricking moron so I'll just spell it out for you. If last night was against a quality opponent those interceptions wouldn't have been "almost"; they would've been pick sixes and turnovers. Almost doesn't matter against Alabama, but against Tech it does because it's indicative of a performance against quality opponents. That's everyones problem with Jarrett Lee "almost" throwing interceptions. Against Bama, Florida, or any SEC team for that matter Lee would've thrown a shitload of interceptions.
