if Mitchell does start he and his lovers will have no excuses

Mitchell plays for LSU. He'll play if his coach has him in the line up. If Paul Maineri includes him on the list, does it make him a Mitchell lover.
You seem to have a problem with Mitchell in the line up. You've got to stop rooting for a player to fail just to gloat. Easy to say 'I told you so'. So what?

The whole pt is Mitchell is a work in progress....he will someday be a super stud bball player and I for one will love it just as much as I like him now. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see another respectable player with big game experience get his shot since we are just a little board with watching that deer in the head lights look. We want our baseball warriors to at least go down swinging. Give Landry his shot and then bring back Mitchell later and I'm sure he will do something heroic for LSU and our fans, but for right now it ain't happening no matter how many stats everyone quotes.

A batter's job is not to do something "heroic." A batter's job is to not get out.

A batter's job is to swing the bat (preferably at strikes. J. Mitch is not a batter. He is a HITTER!!! And much too gifted athletically to sit and watch strikes go by. Make no mistake if we are to win it all, then he WILL be a valuable piece to the puzzle.
