Then you're a fricking idiot. Mett wouldn't have missed receivers downfield, it would have been a bloodbath.

Of course Mett wouldn't have missed those receivers. And no games we ever play are a bloodbath due to the fact that we're inconsistent and play down to the level of the opponent.

I'm the idiot though.

Yea, we didn't blow anyone out this year. Didn't happen.

Iowa had 9 guys in the box b/c they had to to stop hill. Which they never did. Mett is allowed to audible and their are run pass option plays almost every down. Quick slants, Now routes, fades, and we've hit many big posts this eyar that were single man routes. That wasn't on the table for todays game.

If they wanted to take guys out the box we would have run on them even worse. Mett would have torched them in our heavy formations b/c we still had one wideout on the field, and if they wanted to bump a safety then there would be no run support which would light up the score board even more.

You don't think we pass with Mett? Did you jut not watch this season?

I honestly don't know. I saw one offense, which was incredible, up until the Florida game. Since then, it's like we tightened everything up and went back to the LSU offense of old. 2 tights, 2 backs, run run run.

look only at the end product, not what it looked like as it was being made.

So do not actually watch any of the games, just check the box score after the fact. That sounds so satisfying and worth it.

Dude your ignorance is showing,we have had some huge play action bombs out of that formation all year on typical running downs. You don't throw for 3K and run 3k by being lucky and spreading the field every play. Such a dumb arse go root for Baylor they need some more brain dead hicks.

Using your analogy, I think he's a cross between a hot dog and a sausage. We should expect a nice perfectly smoked andouille and we've become happy with a koegels Vienna. Still really good and nothing to complain about until you eat them side by side. No comparison, and IMO, we should not settle for the lesser that will never be different.

College football champs has always been subjective. You have to win enough to impress the voters. Winning has never been enough. Even with the new play off system the four teams that make must impress the committee or be left out.

As much as I scratch my head at some of the things that he does and sometimes I get so mad that if I had any hair left I would pull it out, but I have to agree with you 100 percent.

Winning this bowl was a big deal. Losing 3 of the last 4 was a trend. Hopefully it's reversed for a while, we'll see, but we have another positive message for the kids we are trying to recruit, the D finished the season well and we'll get most of them back. Cameron will have at least 3 talented kids to work with. Hopefully we can find that extra gear again and return to ATL.

With the quality of his recruiting you would hope he could do more than make a good sausage.

Doing a lot with much less would be satisfactory sausage making.

Pffft more like a can of Vienna sausage. People saying mett would have put up 35 against Iowa if he had played must not remember the Arkansas game.

So you just didn't see the wide open receivers that were missed? Mett would have made those throws, and probably a few more.

I like mett. Wish he was here another two years but I saw him miss numerous wide open receivers/tight ends the back half of the season. Just don't think he would have gone out and threw for five or six TD's against Iowa and of course had to contend with miles trying to keep the reigns tight on him as well.

Are you serious?

We just had a 3,000 yard passer and two 1,000 yard receivers.

Who said he'd need to throw five or six? We were one dimensional today and still had a 200 yard rusher. Adding a passing game today would have made it a bloodbath, and I don't really see how it's debatable.

It's not debatable at all.

And while I liked the game plan due to weather and wanting to protect AJ, I think he could have produced more of he would have been allowed to get a rhythm. He knew he was on a short leash and it affected his game.

Doesn't matter, we won and I'm not too worried about AJ finding his game next year.
