3 years after Saban was gone, Les didn't "earn" that championship? It's impossible to take anyone with that mentality seriously.

I would go straight to Notre Dame. Brian Kelly has done a lot with less. Just imagine if he had these LSU players. CLM Has underachieved period

Done better with a lot less????

Brian Kelly took over the Notre Dame job in December 2009. Since Kelly took over, Notre Dame, on average, has had the 11th ranked recruiting class. In that same time period, LSU, on average has had the 7th ranked recruiting class.

I'm in agreement that this season's offense has been awful, considering LSU has the highest paid coaching staff in the NCAA, but it is a team that replaced pretty much all of its offense from a year ago. Having said that, there are still two games left this season for the offense to make adjustments and show some improvement.

If no adjustments are made, Les' seat should be warm heading into next season. Another season of zero improvement on the offensive side of the ball could be too much.

All this with Sub Par QB play, Recruiting and Coaching....Les would prefer to play without a QB

So should Saban owe his success from 2007-2010 to Shula, or does that only work one way?

No. It's not that simple. You have to take into account the circumstances of any type of situation like this that you're trying to analyze. And I'm not saying that Miles owes all of his success to Saban, but Saban did play a part. You can try to ignore that to uncomplicate things, but it's really undeniable.

With respect to Mike Shula, Alabama was 10-23 during his four years as coach (if we're going by vacated wins, like the OP did -- Alabama was 26-23 on the field). Saban rebuilt at Alabama too.

So Saban gets credit for everything, including Miles' success. Got it.

It's pretty amazing the lengths that the shitty fans in the LSU fan base go to discredit their own program's success and pump up the coach of another program.

I have never seen anything like it.

Les will not be forced out. If he chooses to leave, that's different, but unlikely.

Get used to what you saw this year as we'll get more of the same next.

The only way Les gets pushed out is if we have an extended run of 55-60k in the stadium.

You definitely don't get it. I attempted to refute that misguided notion in my last post:

This is how I feel when people "pump up" Miles.

You get angry when fans support the coach of their team?

So Shula's recruits played no part in Saban's early success? You can't have it both ways.

In relation to your quote -- elevating the coach above the program.

Is pumping not just evaluating a coach's accomplishments? Why do you get to evaluate but not people that don't share your negative views?

The same asshats that cry "putting Les above the program!" have Saban on such a pedestal that not only was he above the program, his greatness now transcends at LSU 10 years after he left.

Repeated straw man arguments from you.

What you have to take into account is that Saban rebuilt at Alabama. Miles did not rebuild at LSU.

Do you even know what a straw man is? It doesn't seem like you do.

That is true, you are right they go way too far when no explanation or exaggeration is needed. In reality Saban>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Miles and that's all that needs to be stated. If we as a program want to stay behind Saban and keep losing instate kids that grew up Tiger fans because they feel that Miles is inferior to Saban, than so be it. But if we want to at a minimum be able to compete with BAMA then it's time for new blood.
