Actually, the expectation of some people here is that LSU wins the BCS 10 out of the next 6 years.

If you watched the LSU/UK game in 2007 and Arky in 2008 and don't question Leslies coaching ability , I really doubt you have been following the game long . Don't confuse recruiting with coaching .
Do you question Stoops as a coach after the NC game? Do you question Carroll as a coach after Oregon St. last year? Every coach has bad games. Les can coach.

I wouldn't trade Les for 3 Carroll's, 3 Stoop's, 3 Meyer's or 3 Saban's. I like the integrity of Les Miles compared to all of his peers. By far and away, LSU is better off with Miles running the ship than anyone WE (the rantards) could have picked. Great CLASS of 09, who knows what the future of football holds for the Tigers?? But by any stretch of the imagination if this is "driving a program in the ground", they keep up the good work.

Damn good post. You have good football sense.

It is very hard for me to accept the fact that we have so many dick sucking fans. Most of you should switch over to USCw, Ole Piss or Alabama fans, you will fit right in.
Name a better replacement for Les you idiots.
The sad part about it, I am probably your boss, and if I new better I would fire your arse.
Have a Great Day!

I look for the SEC west to a tough task this year with Ole MIss favored over Alabama but the outcome could be a lot different if LSU can keep the defense off the field by controlling the ball some and not giving them a short field to defend. Then tell me about anybody driving this program in the ground.

Look at the title of this tread and then tell me: Do you really want to even semi-agree with this???

Saban got 3 la recruits with questionable grades and character.

so what you are saying is that if we win it's superior talent and if we loose its coaching?
Posted on 2/5/09 at 11:29 am to fjhjr08
You know some fans will never be satisfied unless we go unbeaten every year and win the NC. That's just retarded. Even programs like USCw cant do it and they play in a way less talented conference than LSU. To expect that every year out of the SEC is just plain dumb with the level of competition in the conference. Les Miles had done a hell of a job with the Tigers in winning games and titles and he did it in less time than Saban. Also in the recruiting arena we have not really had a bad class under him. I for one love the job he is doing and also he showed loyalty to us by not going to Michigan which is these days in the carousel that is college coaching is very rare.

Have you ever seen a program... ANY program pull so many trick play off? OK that could be luck right. Wrong but lets go with that assumption. Have you ever seen a program that pull so many stunts like on side kicks, fake field goals etc and even though they do it more you are still taken by surprise every freaking time?
Ohio State OUT COACHED!!!
South Carolina, I will never forget the look of Steve Spurrier when we scored on the fake field goal. Price less.
Lets see we have an awesome scrambling qb that gets injured and can't run like he use too. Following season because of COACHING he comes back and is one of the best pro style qb's to ever play at LSU.
Les screwed up with the defensive coaches this past season and only because of qb situation was he not able to make it through the season with a great record. It took the one two punch for that to happen. And he fixed the coaching problem didn't he. Could you ask for better than what we got?
Main job of a head coach is to surround himself with other quality coaches. Les Miles has done that consistently.
If we lose coaches it is because they get promotions, not lateral moves. We have players coming back when they could go pro. Coach must be doing something right to have players pass on millions of dollars to play college ball.
Les Miles has integrity and we landed Montgomery because of it. Mostly because other coaches DON'T have his integrity which makes the differences glaring to kids that can see through a little smoke.
Recruiting portion of the coaching equation speaks for itself. I am not only talking about the ability to pull people from other states that everyone wants but the ability to see past the stupid star rating and recruit people that don't have the stars even though they have the ability. Recognizing talent isn't always or actually "usually" something college coaches are very good at.
To think Miles is running the program into the ground is to be an idiot.

A good enough manager , he just has made boneheaded decisions when it comes to game time decisions .
I agree! In 2007, his decision to go for it on fourth down 4 or 5 times, keeping my worn out defense on the field while running out the clock was boneheaded and cost us the game.

Urban Meyer,
