Apparently you don't understand, the players are what give fans the ability to buy tickets and watch games. Without players, there are no fans, so the players are more important than the fans, simple as that. Not individual players, but as a collective team, which Jefferson is a part of.
And all these players that would want to play for LSU in your scenario would just ignore the abuse by "fans" so they could play for the team? If they are good enough to go to LSU, then they are good enough to go almost anywhere, so I doubt it would be as easy as you think.
They would probably go somewhere that fans didn't boo a player that had been through a lot and still hasn't been convicted of anything.
But fans can express what they want, just like the players can. That is what this thread is about. If fans are going to take something out on a player, then the players have every right to express themselves how they want.
