that's a gentle way of saying Mett is making mistakes that the seniors are not making. We have a ways to go yet. its the spring practice. June July and August. Wait and see how things go before you jump to conclusions. And stop putting words in Miles mouth.
He was positive about the seniors by way of explaining that Mett is not yet up to speed. Maybe he will get up to speed this summer. Maybe he will be up to speed by Alabama.
Give it time and stop making up shite.

Extremely overrated stat. LSU's offense didn't do a helluva lot to help last year. You can pin most of LSU's wins on the defense.

Yeah, I don't know how anyone could look at the offensive stats and be excited.
I think JJ has the talent, just don't think JJ has the motivation in light of more than one comment made over the past year. A good game here or there isn't enough. The team winning despite him isn't a positive in his favor.
If the motivation thing is true, and I imagine it is, hopefully if he does start he will be motivated for more than one or two games.

People here sure have short memories. Do you remember Lee coming in and saving LSU's arse against Florida and Tenn.? You do! Well do you remember everyone calling Les Miles and idiot for not starting Lee after that, if not before? You do!
Well why don't you remember that Les Miles was proven right and you (and me) proven wrong when Lee proved that he wasn't better than JJ for the rest of the season!!!
Stop taking what Les Miles says and twisting it around to mean different things. He said right now what anyone with half a brain should have already known. 1. Knowledge of the offense doesn't come over night. Duh! 2. Mettenburger can throw the ball better than JJ. duh!

Will see what happens. I don't think it's unfair to say JJ really hasn't given a lot of people reason to have faith in him. If he can turn it around, good for him.
There are legitimate reasons to doubt. I think we call all agree as well that better QB play is a necessity this year to fullfill the promise this team has.
We can all flick boogers all we want, but JJ has got to step it up this year, or step aside.

We disagree.
I think kicking the QB you have groomed for two years to be your starter when you have not one other guy at the position who had ever taken a snap in FBS/SEC play is a strong statement as to what you expect from your QB.
It's not like RP had a felony conviction or charge coming.
