Tebow was a Fla or Bama lock from day one. That does seem insane.

I know I'm personally mourining the loss of Doug Planchard, Jerry Sevin, Garett Wibel & Paris Hodges.. *tear*
Who needs OL like Chris Faulk, Alex Hurst, Joe Barksdale, Greg Shaw, Stavion Lowe, Evan Washington & Elliot Porter?

Yep, the same guy critizing 2009, had no frickin' idea about 1969.

They droopped Alex Cate, and had no plans on signing Tebow. Didn't recruit him. They had him on LSU's campus for an ESPN special, about Tebow. That's it.

But your boy Saban....would fall off the list in 2001. Leaving him with 1 good season out of 5.
10-3 or 11-2? Can you add?
Saban is not my boy. I can't ever recall mentioning him or comparing Les to him. All I am saying is It is much easier these days to get 10 wins.
But if you want to Compare. Find the link where Les has Less than 2 losses......

This board suffers Badly from Cherry Popper's Syndrome. I'll find a link to Miles with less than 2 losses, if you tell me Saban won more games than Miles &/or lost less. Either one...your pick.

Name one firing of a coach that ended up hurting LSU football. One.
Thats because LSU has never been retarded enough to fire a coach with a good/great record.

Have you ever actually looked at the records of those 9 teams LSU beat in 1969?
Yes. In fact, I posted about it just a couple of weeks ago myself. Still, with 9 wins in 10 games, it's a pretty safe bet they would have won one more in 3 or 4 additional games.
And, even given the records of those teams we beat, did you see the scores we beat them by?

Would LSU habve beaten a Qality Bowl Opponent?
Maybe, but we sure as hell would have won at least one of two more regular season games against the likes of Louisiana Tech, ULL, Appalachian State, etc.
I assumed you were joking when you tried to ignore the number of games played in counting 10 win seasons. I had no idea anybody could be that stupid.
If you play 13 or 14 games, it's easier to win 10 than if you play only 10, 11 or 12 games. That's why so many of our 10-win seasons have occured in seasons in which we played 13 or more games.

So did other all the other colleges.
Yes, so if we were comparing LSU in the 1970s to some other school in the 1970s, the number of 10 win seasons we had in the 1970s might be relevant. But we aren't. We're comparing LSU of the 2000s with LSU of previous decades. YOU brought up the fact that Miles has three 10-win seasons and that LSU only has 10 altogether, as if that meant something.

Who was that? I knew plenty about 1969. More than you did, I guarantee. You, apparently, still don't understand that winning 10 games is a hell of a lot easier for Miles these days when we play 13 or 14 than it was for previous coaches back when we played only 10, 11 or 12.

Then it pretty much exposes his point as bullshite, since he suggested firing coaches has hurt LSU.

Please explain the exact scenario of LSU playing 14 games. You've mentioned this often, so what exactly does LSU have to do to play 14 games in 1 season?
