There was one guy at half time who was yelling for his head. The guy was yelling "Les YOU SUCK!!!" at the top of his voice. I wanted to punch the guy. I completely understand being down on the coach at a time like that, but he was being extremely loud and obnoxious about it and was really drunk. All I could think was "frick this negatiger loser"

you must have been sitting in section 211

By the way, check the post history of that Kellydown guy. He only pops up during games when is LSU is playing horrible. You never hear from him any other time.

The same ones that wanted to fire Miles last night are the same ones that wanted to fire Saban after UAB.

not me. I gave saban a mulligan for that one considering we were coming off back to back losing seasons.

So you wanted to Fire Miles even though he has NEVER lost to a lower team like UAB and Troy?

Who almost gave up on him last night?

I havent give up on him. No coach in the nation could win with this QB situation. And no coach in the nation could have gotten LSU fired up to play Troy after giving away a game like that to the #1 team. I'm happy to just get the win.

Now, in the offseason I do believe DC "adjustments" are needed.

I disagree. I mean, we're talking about a Sun Belt team here, a team that NO OTHER SEC would've spoted a 4-TD lead to, not even Miss St. Urban Meyer, Pete Carroll, Jim Tressell, Bob Stoops, Mack Brown—each of these coaches has suffered a huge loss this year and immediately had their teams ready to win against much tougher competition than what we faced last night. Granted they have better teams than what we have at this point, but again we were playing TROY STATE.

I'm a big Les Miles fan, but he needs to know that perfromances like last night's don't justify $4 mil a year. We should never have been in a position where we needed a miracle comback to win.

Les Miles has been through hell since he arrived here, living in the shadow of Dick Satan; dealing with hurricanes; schedule changes; injuries to key players and quarterbacks, this year and last year, specifically; dealing with RP, holding his breath, probably, that RP wouldn't screw up to warrant a suspension before last year's SEC title game and then having to make the tough, but right, decision to can his arse; dealing with inexperienced and not stellar qbs with which he was left after RP was booted; dealing with all the "leaving for Michigan" BS and so on. No, the man is not a perfect coach, but I damn sure haven't given up on him. I believe he's a damn strong football coach and I respect him a great deal. I'm sticking with him and I knew we would win that game.
Welcome to the world of Big Time College Football. I don't feel sorry for him a bit. He's getting paid millions to do what some of us would do (if we could) for thousands. And he better get it done. If he doesn't have what it takes, LSU should go out and get someone else. FWIW, I believe he does have what it takes, but don't be fooled that the fans aren't going to hold his feet to the fire.

Absolutely atrocious preparation, motivation, execution, you name it. Remember: $4 million per year, and he's not paid that princely sum to get destroyed by a Sun Belt team that lost to Eastern Kentucky a couple weeks ago.
I hope his bosses are giving him an earful. And if Joe Alleva is keeping silent on this one, then he fails too.

There are times that team chemistry simply does not jell like a coach would prefer. Everyone knew this was a rebuilding year. On any given night, anything can happen. That's just the nature of the game. Personally, I am for Miles. Let's get through this season, go do our bowl thing and get ready for next season. If there is anyone out there that things they can do a better job than the head coach, they ought to set an appointment with the AD and apply for the job. Personally, I wouldn't want it.

But Miles deserves heat for the abysmal play of the entire team for three quarters. If the team had been coached and motivated to play near its capabilities, Troy would never have been 4TDs ahead of us. So yeah, the Trojans deserve credit, but Miles has to shoulder some genuinely deserved blame for having the team sleepwalking for 40 minutes

The buck does stop with Miles, but I guarantee there is not much else he can do to motivate these players. EVERY team comes out flat and uninterested at times, under every coach. Rarely happens with Miles teams though. Happens with USC every year. Happened with Saban all the time, depite him saying "all the right things". Only so much a coach can do, its the players who have to respond.

Every year a team gets upset. LSU won in the end. Thats what matters. I remember more than a few Saban games where the team just looked bored out there, and often did not win. Plus of course, the QB play is killing this team. It's gotta be demoralizing to play hard yet have your QB give the game away.

troy is a legit team. they have beaten miss st, okla st and missouri in the past. they have almost beaten fsu and south carolina. they played ohio state even this year in the first half. they can play with the big boys and with their offense are capable of playing with just about anybody in the nation. due to last week and qb play we were primed for an upset. i wasn't expecting us to play this bad, but i knew troy was capable of beaten us if we didn't take care of business. give troy some credit.

it seems to me the team, fans and this season has never been in any type of rythym. not sure if this is a hangover effect from the nc or the hurricanes. anyway, most people expected 9-3 or 8-4 season. looks like that is what will get. just have patience and stay confident. will be ok in the long run.

Its not that I am giving up on Miles. Its just that this team (Troy) is in the Sun Belt conference. How can we loose to a Sun Belt team....its really like loosing to the Cajuns. Although I know Troy is a good team...but come on....this is the SEC...
