I said Miles deserves a chance to right the ship. Also, this is a message board. Excuse me for generating conversation on a message board. This isn't a bash Les Miles thread. If you don't wanna be in the conversation ,then don't click on the thread. That's not hard to comprehend.
Les Miles has done some wonderful things at LSU and i for one think he is a hell of a recruiter and a good ceo type coach. I want nothing more than for Les Miles to win us the west next year. I also said I didn't want him fired after next if it meant losing some of our bigtime commits.
Les Miles is a good coach. He has made some clock management blunders, but so have other coaches this year. Pro and college coaches. All you Miles haters think that LSU could just hire anybody we want and that coach will come running. Well Notre Dame thought that too and was turned down. Alabama got turned down a number of times before breaking the bank for $aban. We could be a lot worse than 3rd in the SEC. WE COULD ALSO BE ATOP THE SEC.

Arkansas game the very next week

I think many of you are underestimating the impact of having a rookie QB two years in a row. Do you think that its just a coincedence?

Who's fault is that? That's right, Les Miles.

DING DING DING - We have a Winner.

Bottom line is that Mile rode on Saban's program and Bo P as a D coach.

Miles has not done sh-t the last 2 years.

Ask yourself if his former coaching gig at OKSt would even take him back -- Answer is NO.

If we have the same record as last year, we are more likely to lose the great ones out of this class if we keep Miles.

If there isnt a complete turn around this year, I think we will go back to all the great Lousiaina talent going out of state to other colleges like it used to be for so long.

He could've kept RP and made his punishment so tough he either turned himself around or quit. Maybe RP just needed a different environment but at some point Miles had to realize RP was a problem and that RP might not be around. And he didn't have a solid backup plan in place in the event he let RP go or RP quit.

Anyway, what's done is done. The focus should be on the future. And to be honest, I don't like the mock starting lineups for defense I've seen posted and we have to get a real solid offensive line. This season will be interesting to see how it all works out. We got questions marks for sure.

For Miles to be a OL in college and head coach now, our OL sure gets pushed around like little bitches all year.

I just dont think he has it between the ears to coach in the SEC.

The games we have won under Miles were all almost won on talent alone and not coaching at all.

Yea...that wouldve went over real well with the fans. He was already getting blasted on a regular basis for keeping him on as long as he did. Everyone seems to forget that now though.

Why? No one else did. But hindsight is 20/20. Lee and Jefferson would have both been upperclassmen when they started had RP not f'd up.

Agreed. Although i think the d-line can be good if they play up to their potential. They will be young though.

I was promoting that at the time before RP got released. I wasn't for him getting released.
