Would have been an awesome way for it to go down, and I've posted similar here before.
Also, no one will ever convince me that things wouldn't have gone down totally different in 2016 had Miles not been a dead man walking that knew his boss wanted him gone.
If he isn't thrown to the wolves in November 15 I think the entire off-season has a different tone and we come out similar to 2007 or 2011 on a mission. Instead everyone was on egg shells and played tense knowing that they could cost Miles his job.
It was an absolute no win situation and Alleva cost us a great shot at winning it all.
Miles found the key to shutting Bama down, which Aranda did on defense. But we lacked even the slightest creativity, aggression, swagger, or spark, on offense which Miles always delivered at home against them.
No telling how it would have played out but I have no doubt we would have done better with LF and the offense playing for Miles instead of a DL coach they had no relationship with whatsoever and got to campus a year after they did.
But Alleva, O, and Prince got what they wanted and Miles is gone, so the buck stops with them now. Nowhere to hide anymore (at least after E is thrown under the bus).
