ND did the volcano song during the Sugar Bowl and the drum majors had fire extinguishers making smoke and stuff. I thought it was very cool... then TGBFTL goes out and plays the same halftime as the last regular season game and I think it was malaguania(sp?) for the 500th time! 
TGBFTL should just go from LSU formation to TIGERS and play the fight song, pregame, then throw in a recent song and let the Golden Girls get half naked.

Yea I heard it look cool on TV, I was on the 40 pretty high up and could not make anything of it.. The guys in the skirts marching looked very feminine...

I had a friend in the Music Education department join the band her junior year. She was a vocalist, didn't know how to play an instrument. But, her exboyfriend was a cymbalist for the band, and he taught her every song they played in 8 weeks for her tryout. lol

The scholarships will not be affected at all by the budget cuts. Maybe in the number handed out, but not the ones people already have. The reason Latin shows are popular is because it is the best way to display the power your band has. Unfortunately most untrained ears don't give a shite and just want Kanye ghetto-arse Southern shite.

lol and I was in the band. The bands music is mediocre at best. Need some good stands tunes to get the students jumpin. Like Neck.

The "Spanish" stuff was the bands favorites to play and was always the road shows when the LSUAD let us go to Jackson and B'ham. It was the most popular music with everybody IN the band. We loved Malaguena, Malaga, Pictures of Spain and all that. Couldn't get enough of it because that's what a lot of the Drum Corps were playing.
BTW, while I'm here, has Frank pretty much "retired" or what? Seems that Linda has taken over TB. What active role does FW have?
