Forgot Barringtom Edwards got plenty love (2 clips) in that original classic. J-Russ even made a cameo appearance.
IIRC the true OG BOOM did not have BCS NCG (maybe not even the SEC CG).

Jacoby NCG hit and Jets ankle-breaker and slo-mo replay are perfect BOOM fits. UT wearing “There’s only 1 DBU” t-shirts timed with “running our mouths” is classic AF, haha. Nice McConaughey add as well.
Some other well-timed edits to consider would be:
- a spring/summer clip from the Ponderosa or the weight room on the opening verse when lyrics say “cause I be puttin’ in work”
- pageant-waving Burrow to UT crowd and ‘BURREAUX’ running out tunnel on SR Night when “I see you smiling at me.” (chorus is repeated so could work them all in)
- a different Stingley INT for each time you hear “you didn’t know that I was new on the scene” (but it’s alright, alright)
- move Magee Vandy pancake as a chorus “BOOM”, then the 2nd Magee pancake hit on the refrain “here comes the BOOM”
- Burrow pointing to ring finger on “BOOM, Here comes the Boom”
- Burrow smoking cigar on “how you like me now?”
But that is EXTREMELY nitpicking on a new instant classic masterpiece.
