are you really brusting out the defensive stats of a non-BCS team?
We exploded on this one.
Really. 7.3 ypc. LSU hasn't had a game over 5.0 ypc.
That's a pretty significant discrepancy.

Are you late posting because you were up late fapping over the thrill you must have gotten when JJ started and played the whole game?
I know I was. I just enjoy it when LSU wins. Sadly, many of you spoiled pussies don't know how to do anything but bitch. Get off the internet and go do something productive with your day and enjoy the fact that your team won handily last night and is 10-0 and number one in the nation with excellent prospects for winning an SEC and National championship. Leave coaching to the coaches and go be good at whatever it is you do. Trust me, Miles and the LSU staff don't need the "expert" opinions of the LSU fanbase peanut gallery to help them coach the team to victory. You and the other Rantards on here are nothing more than a punchline to Miles and his staff.

but how many non-BCS opponents? pretty sure MSU, UF, etc would get a big bump playing the sun belt

grind it out v. big play. it's not shocking
just like losing TOP was also not shocking

Serious question. ARe you not enjoying the run LSU is on? ARe you not enjoying this #1 ranked team and first 10-0 start since 1958?
You of all people who constantly doubted Miles and co. by saying they could never have this kind of success at LSU should be thrilled.
WHy can't you enjoy the success of a team that you call yourself a fan of? I just don't understand it I guess.

Of course he is enjoying it
But anyone who isn't a little concerned with how we played in the first half yesterday might need their head checked

sure
i was not excited about last night, just b/c it was a horrible opponent. i'm not criticizing scheduling them or anything. it was just a game i didn't really care about

miles has corrected a lot of his issues this year, and i have not been critical of him accordingly
last night felt like he regressed. i mean WKU was half a yard away from making it 21-14 in the 3rd quarter. i thought the era of keeping shite teams close was over this year

The first half of an insignificant game does not represent an entire season nor does it warrant this ridiculous meltdown. It is truly pathetic.

last night brought back the feeling of the old les miles, which is not good with Arkansas and UGA standing b/w us and the title game. if we play like last night against either, our season is ruined

Miles is the only coach that has inferior teams sometimes play closer then they should? That is an interesting opinion that would be shattered with facts in a heart beat.

I think there is a difference between legit concern and a meltdown
I'd say it's a legit concern considering that we have 2 top 10 teams to play if we want to make it to the BCS game

miles has made a career of this at LSU. that's why we always joke about the near heart attacks we almost have a few times/year

we lost TOP...to WKU
Don't you think that tells us a lot more about how the defense played?
Clearly, our offense played the way they are expected to against an inferior opponent. If you can't even admit that, then I can only infer that your life must be a very sad one, as you seem to have trouble finding joy in the world.
The fact that we had solid offensive production and got dominated in TOP means that our D had trouble getting off the field. While nine points is by no means threatening, it is also more than we allowed to Northwestern St (3), Mississippi St (6), Kentucky (7), Tennessee (7), and Alabama (6, with OT).
I'm not going to comment on JJ vs JL because everyone clearly has their mind made up, so trying to debate for either side is just futile. But, if you really need something to bitch about from last night's game (which again would be really sad), then look to the defensive side of the ball. Clearly they have been our strong point all year long and I don't want to meet the fool who disputes that. But if you need to pick out a weak point from Saturday Nov 12, our defense was the group that underperformed (at least compared to their past success this year).
The D is the primary reason for our TOP failure. And still, I and all others fully trust them to rebound next week. That being said, stop reaching for every little reason to stir up the shite pot.
We are 10-0, so just be happy that you get the privileged to be and LSU fan at the highpoint in our football history.

our starter only threw 10 passes, and he was 9/10 that game
See, that makes the OP's point-he missed 10% of his passes in that game. Ten freaking percent fell to the ground. Unacceptable. The only reason he wasn't benched after that game is because Unglesby hadn't freed the anointed starter yet.

It was until last night. Let's see, did we do anything different last night than in the previous games? Hmmmm.....

oh our D was not good last night. i think everyone agrees with that so it's not even worth discussing

higher QB rating;

more yards per attempt than Lee.
Does that make Jefferson a better passer?
