You have a couple 8-4 records shown...those are worthy of a decent bowl I believe. But you're right...they weren't great years.
I actually felt bad including them cause I remember some of those years and they were good, to me.

Funny thing is that with 3 losses we have so many not satisfied...perhaps I shoulda included those too?

Um...no
Dude....Yes.
1) LSU was ranked #10, #12, and #13 All-Time Programs by the only 3 sites I know of and this was before the 2007 NC.
2) The best criteria for deciding All-Time Programs has LSU #10.
3) Other things such as all time attendance records, facilities, best coaching jobs has LSU in top 5.
4) LSU is considered the 1st team from the South as National Champions - 1908. GT's NC is 1917.
5) Not only is LSU the 1st Southern team with NC, it is also the last.
6)..........LSU...........
100 years ago...NC
50 years ago...NC
5 years ago...NC
1 year ago...NC
How cool is that?

Also...LSU is only 1 of 2 teams that is considered a Top 10 All Time Football Program combined with a Top 5 All Sports Program....Chew on that all you flamers.

I guess it depends on your definition of a "top program"

On one hand many BCS teams could claim this.

On the other hand, prior to 2000 LSU might not even be considered top five in the SEC - Bama and Tennessee were clearly #1 and #2 and Georgia, Auburn, LSU and Florida were all about equal all things considered. Ole Miss had a very respectable history until about 1990 as well.

I guess that shows how good the SEC really is. You could have a program like LSU, that does't qualify as one of the traditional conference heavyweights (ala Ohio St, Michigan, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, etc...)

donl't tell me you think Auburn has had a better program than LSU. 1 SEC Champ. since 1988. In fact LSU has 14 SEC Champ. if you take away the 200's they still had one more than Auburn. as for total wins LSU has 10 more than Auburn going into this season.

Um, LSU only has 10 SEC titles. They do have 2 SIAC titles and one SoCon title. Auburn has 6 SEC titles.

Alabama won National Titles...11, huge difference.

Under arguably the greatest college coach ever. There is also large evidence that he played extremely fast and loose with recruiting and elegibility rules.
So you can spout whatever bullshite you like, it don't make it true. I bet your daddy and all your uncles were real loud "help Mac pack" assholes. You sound like the type. Apples don't fall far from the tree.
