Students will be students. We can't control that 100%. However, as adults our influence on these kids matters. Reading the article about adults also getting into the disgusting words is bothersome to me as a long-time LSU fan and past graduate. We just need to tone it down. I like the spirit but not the vulgarity. FU Saban and Neck need a little teaking..... Surprised the SEC office has yet to fine LSU about this. Hit 'em in the pocketbook and things will change. Do other schools do the same thing? Just curious.

This is juvenile humor at best. No one is literally demanding that opposing teams and fans perform such a lude act. However, words have meaning and I understand why this has become quite the controversy.
The irony here is that the progression of this goes back about 15 years when Tiger Rag was pulled from pregame because of the mild “hahaha assholes” chant.
A few years later during a SCAR game the students added “Oweo, You suck cocks!” to the drum and tuba feature between a PAT and kickoff. Moving forward, the “cocks” line was dropped. The admins started getting some heat and had the band quit playing the song for a while.
The first few years that neck was played I mostly just heard students chanting “talking out the side of your neck, bitch.” This time the admins were silent until this evolved into STTDB.
Alas, the constant censorship and song removal has likely resulted in students escalating their response.

That’s pretty rich coming from a Georgia fan. My grandmother is an auburn fan(as well as that entire side of the family) and they went To Athens one year for the game and their fans got in their faces cussing and being “rude”. My uncle had to get between them and her when they almost knocked her over. What’s that saying about glass houses?
