The fans of most small schools in this state pull for their team that competes on a regional level (small Conference), then support LSU as the only school that competes at a national level. However, some (LA Tech and ULL) are jealous of LSU and want to compete on a national level (this is where the penis envy comes in). This is why I pull for all schools in Louisiana except ULL and LA Tech. If you put a gun to my head and had to pull for one of the two, I would pull for Tech because ULL's penis envy is on a different level.

I go to ULM and personally love the TIGERS and have lots of friends who feel the same. Heck! I might even pull for LSU if they were playing ULM just so LSU wouldn't have a loss but I don't think I'll ever have to worry about that.

I thought this was going to be a thread about why we never play La Tech in baseball...

are you fricking drunk?

Any LSU who is insecure concerning Tech needs their head examined.

Tech feels like it will one day replace LSU as the flagship sports school in the state.
That's akin to Troy hoping to replace Alabama or Auburn as the major state school.

LSU/Louisiana Tech baseball
I was over on the Tech message board (shocked that they actually had electricity in Ruston) to look at pictures of their new jumbotron. Well, I was looking around their website for a couple of minutes and noticed a thread entitled, "Go Rice!" Inside the thread was a bunch of pathetic backwoods hillbillies pulling for Rice. My question is, what do they have against LSU? They always pull against us for whatever reason. They are lumped in there together with ULL and Tulane fans in my opinion. Are other in-state schools (Northwestern St, McNeese St, Southeastern, etc.) like this?

How in hell can you say Tech is anti LSU from this small thread? This post says a lot about the Queens that post here. Are you in the band by any chance?

The posts in reply to my earlier comment prove my point. It doesn't make you any lesser of an LSU fan to admit it. It's OK for Tech to make you a little nervous. It doesn't mean it is going to happen in the next 10 years or anything. But they are building a beast in Ruston.

LaTech has passed Tulane in football... Its done. Many educated Tech fans know that the better LSU does, the better it is for their team. As LSU recruits more on a national level it leaves more quality in state kids for Tech, and I'm hoping Tech does well enough to keep those guys rather than have Ole Miss/Miss St/Tenn/a&m come in and get them. There is a lot of money in Ruston that supports both Tech and LSU and this support is why Tech is dedicated to improve in athletics... Check out the changes in the campus and its obvious

Cowardly LSU fans here, Joe. If they would just come out and straight up admit their nervousness over the inroads Tech is making at LSU's expense I would have more respect for them.

"But they are building a beast in Ruston."

If so, I'm happy for them.

You still didn't explain what Tech had done in the college sports world this decade to engender fear on my part of them, but then I never expected that you would.

Nothing to be nervous about... these guys should only hope Tech has success and gets LSUs leftovers in state rather than have them go to a team in a BCS conference, especially the SEC. That way this states best talent will all be locked down and not come back to bite us in any way

"LaTech has passed Tulane in football... Its done."

If that's so, then congrats to Tech for moving on up!

I hope Tech can be all they can be, but that doesn't instill any "fear" in me of Tech football or basketball or baseball. I respect Tech, but I certainly don't "fear" them as has been suggested. All I'm saying..........

I already did...I said that I never expected you to come up with reasoned explanation as to why I should "fear" Tech and you haven't.

Anyway, enough of this...it's on to Omaha for the 15th time for the Tigers!
