that was the idea....I was one of the first 200 to get mine. Before you had to order them through LSU Dallas alumni assoc. but now I think you can get them through TXDOT website. If you want them I would get them now , I just read that Texas has contracted all the specialty plate business out and soon it may be more of a hassle to get them.

I don't give a dam if Texas schools are academically better. They are all jealous of LSU because we play awesome football.

me too. it was great! i esp. loved it when my neighbor, a big longhorn fan, avioded me for a coupla weeks after we won. i kept my LSU flag flying until he finally ackowledged it.

all of them are not better. yes, a&m outranks us and texas is #1 in the big 12, but we're right there or better than the rest. we're also heading in the right direction and hope that continues. my biggest surprise in the most recent US News ranking is SMU. We're right there with 'em. I think a&m's graduate schools are why they outrank us. too much is made about these rankings anyway, one's success in life is up to them, not their school ranking.

Look at what it would take to get an LSU plate in Florida......
"The basic requirements are: The organization must hire an independent survey company to conduct a survey on Florida registered motor vehicle owners, an application fee of $60,000, a long-term and short-term marketing plan, financial analyses and the design of the license plate. The requirements must be submitted to the Department 90-days before the first day of the legislative session."

I would LOVE to get an LSU plate in Alabama. I believe that special legislation must approve this and that shite just aint happening anytime soon.

Have ours in Texas. It is awesome. Texas doesn't have insecurities many states have and allowed it. Texas is the bomb.

State law prohibits University tags of any school outside the State.
