i agree with you, except for auburn. We play tenn and uf the two weeks prior to playing Auburn. But we get them at home. So the home field is what will give us the advantage not our schedule.

I see tenn being a better team than last year. Im still not sure on UF. They could win the east or they can finish 3rd in another year of week sec east.

LSU will beat Oregon and Northwestern and then.....state has always played LSU tough.....

If State beats Auburn and both are undefeated...State could really get up for LSU...

This is a key game for both programs..........

should be a super game......

For obvious reasons, Oregon (because it's the first game), Northwestern, and Western Kentucky aren't worth discussing.

Yeah, because Oregon is the first game it's not worth discussing.

It's not like there's any controversy surrounding that game (Willie Lyles) or it's the most away game tickets LSU has ever sold for a non bowl game or Oregon is a super hot team that nearly won the national title the beginning of this year.

Nope, Oregon is just another game on par with Northwestern State and Western Kentucky.

Sorry, brah, but there's going to be a lot of discussing of Oregon over the next 2 months. It's kind of a big deal.

I mean seriously do yall even watch the games? Miles is 6-0 against state. We own them. Closest game has been 30-26 with one being 45-0. I dont know how you can say they play us tough. I mean they might play hard, but they dont squeek out wins like ole miss does.

Calm down pandora. He was talking strictly of who you play before the game. Well oregon and lsu both dont have a game and hes assuming we should beat the other teams regardless who we play the week before.

Mea culpa. I see that now.

Honestly, I don't see the point in looking beyond October right now. But we'd have a lot less threads on the rant if people focused on the next game instead of trying to storyboard out the whole damn season. I'm not a fan of looking too far ahead but I understand we have a lot of time to kill in the off season and between games. It is what it is...

Tulane was a conference opponent until 1966 when they left the SEC.

Also, that philosophy of Bryant's may not work out consistently anymore with the BCS. Ask 2004 Auburn. The voters and the computers factor schedule strength into their rankings and a marquee OOC win can put a team over the top. How many teams have been to the BCS championship without a strong out of conference win?

The OP is right, for a tough schedule, it is set up nicely week to week.

Kentucky is a better program than they have ever been. That game will probably be tougher than you are anticipating. It will be very physical.

Strong post, Major Tiger! I like the way you're thinking. Perfect thing to look at this time of year. Don't be afraid to take on some of these guys who try to find one thing to disagree with. Looking forward to post #2 from you.
