So, prior to Miles LSU won the SEC West two times, both with Saban. And prior to Saban, LSU had 2 SEC titles in over a 29 year period.
And this board wants to fire the current coach that has won the SEC West 3 times, with 2 SEC titles, over the last 11 years. Un-frickin-believable.
What a wonderfully coded way to basically say "Remember the 90s?!"

Hmmm
Pretty much confirms what folks have feared. Miles is heading toward average
Hopefully, F***King will see the light or be sent packing, so someone else can

ot that it matters--they both suck, but we finished tied for 3rd this year and tied for 4th last year. Tie breakers are meant determine #1, they don't distinguish 3rd from 4th. Plenty of reasons to criticize Miles, lets just be intellectually honest
I chose to apply the tie breaker because imo it gives a more accurate ordering, official or not.

That is the current trend. We will see if he can reverse it next year.

We finished 3-5 that year. How the hell is THAT possible?!

Because three west teams finished 2-6 in 08.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. It just seems like a stupid way to measure the teams when the 2006 team that went 11-2 and won the Sugar Bowl is on the same level as Miles's worst team as LSU's HC.

It may or may not be stupid but where we finish among our immediate peers is at least interesting to me. Comparing the results in different seasons is not the goal here, but certainly all seasons are not the same.

Yes because the sec then and now is the same. Ha. I see LSU finished #1 in 2001...3 losses.
Posted on 12/11/15 at 7:02 pm to GoldenTrumpeter
Lsu is only sec west team who has gone 8-0 but never 0-8

You may not be able to tell if it is a pro-Miles or anti-Miles thread, but you quickly gave it your spin to turn it anit-Miles. Others made it pro-Miles. Shows that it is not as clear cut as either side wants it to be.

Please don't start with saban took over losing programs...you are correct dinardo sucked as a coach...but was one hell of a recruiter and left saban loaded with future NFL players..fact.

No you really don't have common sense. The sec has been MUCH more competitive during the miles era and its not even close.
