I think it shows once again LSU is severely out of touch with its fan base.
I complained in several emails about the policy of faculty/staff with no discount, etc... I was able to get in for 3 games this year with a faculty ID then they changed the policy for Nichols state and denied me entry and attendance was truly pathetic.
Faculty/staff get in free this week but thats about it.
Would it kill LSU to offer discounted tickets to anyone, like $5, to hopefully avoid the embarassment we are seeing on tv today?
Does LSU make any money on concession sales? Apparently not since they are holding strong in their policies.

At least the football fans waited till halftime to empty the stadium. LSU has the best student section in the country.

i bet if half of the posters at lsu on this rant would put down the bong, walk out of their apartment (in walking distance to the pmac), and go the game, the student section would spill over. it is fact

You fail to realize that most students just don't give a frick. They didn't 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and don't today. LSU will always have a larger majority of rich arse lazy fricks who just don't care to go to anything else but football games. There will always be those who go to the game and those who don't, so your criticisms are kind of worthless. Everyone I know that goes to LSU is still out of town. Most are staying out of town until the 11th. Could I have gone to the game? Sure, but I'd rather spend today at home since I have to be back on Monday for work. There's no sense in me driving to see a 2 1/2 hour game, sitting by myself in Baton Rouge for two whole days with nothing to do when I could be at home with my family who I rarely see.
Family time > LSU vs Wazzu. I'm sure there are plenty of people with the same mindset as me, and I seriously disagree with you if you qualify that as a "bad" fan.

Did they force the smatterings in the upper level down to the lower level so attendance wouldnt look so pathetic?

frick you dude, there are so many students in the br area right now, they just chose not to go, just like they choose not to go to anything but a big game
this is one of the best three teams we will play all year long at the pmac
when i was a freshman, living in shreveport, i drove down to br like 3 days from xmas to go see the tigers take on arizona. dont give me this shite about it being an off week
if it were football against usc the students would damn sure make that drive

absolutely not. family is always more important than a game. I do know this, i watch college basketball every day. the students sections are always packed, even if the team sucks. of course, i am refering to D1 programs
