I live an hour from LSU but it's the holidays. I have family from out of town who I see maybe twice a year and friends from high school who I usually only see around this time as well. So if I can watch this game on TV 70 miles from BR while spending time with friends/family I'm going to do it. Sorry, LSU is not my #1 priority when I'm home for the holidays.

why do you all care so much if the students go to basketball games or not? If you think it makes LSU look bad, i agree it does, but the rest of the crowd was not at the PMAC either. What do you think LSU should do to increase the number of students going? If you don't have an answer, then you are just bitching to bitch and should shut up.

I got harassed by a marshall/nazi a few weeks ago because my wristband was covered by my jacket and I had food and drink in both hands...
Just move the SS ALLLLL the WAY TO THE COURT behind the visiting teams baseline and let them sit wherever...

do you not even try to buy tickets from lsu???? they sell $5 tickets to every game. they advertised the hell out of this at the beginning of the season. you complain about this over and over, but still won't go buy $5 tickets off of lsusports.net. Mudminnow, stop being a dumbass.

First, I went to the game and was impressed with the actual crowd in attendance, maybe that was not shown on TV, but it was the best crowd I have seen in come time. The students can't be blamed anymore than your average ticket holder though.
Secondly, to the guy complaining about ticket prices, GET REAL! LSU offered season tickets for $100. That's 21 games for $100, and for all of those that complain about TAF, there was no donation required to get those tickets. Those tickets were also guaranteed at $100 for 5 years. For those that will find a way to complain about that, if any of you would go to the PMAC, you can get a ticket (likely for free) outside the door 30-15 minutes before tip-off. There are several fans outside offering tickets just to get people in the seats.
For those that don't go to the games, it is your own fault! Don't blame LSU for not knowing how to "market" their basketball team, blame yourself for being to damn lazy to get off the couch.
Attendance will pick up as the season goes on and the team proves they are worth going see (for those that only support a winning team). Overall I was actually impressed in the crowd and happy to see a good team wearing purple and gold.

sorry but as a former student, our students now suck. they are are terrible fans in all 3 sports. i graduated during the smoke, saban, brady days but at least we got out there early to support the teams even when we sucked with torris bright or marcus randall. the students today are really lame and worry more about what to wear or what to cheer than anything else.
