How do you know whether or not any given 18-21 year old is in the military, or if they have intentions of joining? Are you saying members of the military are incapable of getting drunk and acting like fools?

What the LSUPD SHOULD be doing is walking around writing tickets for littering. simple police work like that isn't good enough for them, they wanna make the big booze bust!

Here in SC the drinking age is soon to be 18 so we won't have to put up with shite after NOV 2010.

Right, you'll just have your federal highway funds yanked instead. Have fun watching your highways go to shite.

Nope they won't sell it to minors if so I suggest you read up, it will make it legal for them to posses and consume but not buy.

Yep. And are highways are still shite!!!
(to be fair though, much of our highways' shittiness is related to the fact they are built on mud)

No, you didn't.
I have no problem with the police doing what they did. If you're going to serve alcohol in mass quantities, you have a responsibility to make sure it isn't being served to minors.

This should have been done years ago, Hope they get even more strict about it because it has become a drunk fest more than a football game event.

were you serving minors?
Better to say underage. Unfortunately in this country those classified as adults for all legal purposes are denied their rights to freedom when it comes to drinking. They can pay taxes, vote for president, go to war, and will be prosecuted as adults, but they can't buy liquor. There is something wrong with a government that practices selective prohibition.

We're very familiar with the guy believe me. He blows. It isn't the first time we've had a problem with him. He ripped our speakers apart last year and we issued a complaint. I guess this is his revenge.
I actually heard about your experience through my g/f who was tailgaiting very near your crew (i was at work). she said she overheard some of the other cops saying that they intentionally searched for your tailgate to raid it and get back at you for filing a complaint on that cop. so you prob werent doing anything wrong, but you were doomed from the beginning.
f**k tha ploice

Just so you know, conspiracy is an actual crime. The cop was actually correct. Not saying I support the behavior, but be careful what you argue about. Especially if you are a smart arse college student. Its easy to end up hurt and in jail. Most college students when drinking don't realize how antagonistic they can be when dringking. Cops don't normally cuss you unless you are being a smart arse.

F you old farts who are telling us to follow the "law". As if you never drank or smoked when you were younger. Its a part of life and definitly tailgating.
All fine and good till your drunk irresponsible arse drives home from the game and runs over one of my kids or gets so sloppy drunk you can't stande up straight during the game and you piss all over yourself and I have to smell your piss and vomit for 3.5 quarters.

Maybe they should be prosecuted as minors between 18 and 21, and not adults. You want them prosecuted as an adult or minor?

I know conspiracy is a crime. I think the law defines it as an agreement between 2 or more people to break the law sometime in the future. its my understanding that this couldn't apply to my friend. I am just a student, so i could be wrong

Can I get the Statute for conspiracy to drink underage?
Posted on 9/14/09 at 1:27 pm to Dizz
Solution:
Print up a fake military enrollment contract, and if you get stopped, show it to the cop and say
"I'm sorry, officer. I just wanted to have a drink with my friends before I get shipped to Afghanistan. Might not be home for a while."
