quote:you might not realize this but, he might actually like lsu better and switch even if the money was even. ever thought about that?
No, unless y'all threw some outrageous Saban like money at him which would be delusional
quote:if you really believe this, then you're naive and overstating msu's place in the sport.
We could match anything y'all offered.

quote:have you ever, EVER heard a coach say they didn't like where they were coaching? think about that for a second.
He loves it here, so I'll take his word over yours

quote:oh my word. you are delusional. just go look up athletic budgets. i hate to break this to you but, money makes a difference. the ones spending the most have the greatest chance for success. that ain't state.
MSU's program has a much brighter future than LSU's
you don't even know if cannizaro is going to be any good. he hasn't even completed one season.
Posted on 4/26/17 at 5:39 pm to bfniii
What makes you think we couldn't match any reasonable offer? Sure if you offer him an amount greater than his worth out of desperation, I would expect him to leave. But he won't get an offer of that magnitude until he wins a NC and at that point I can gaurantee our fans would even pay out of pocket (facetious) to keep him where he is. I would expect Cohen to do nothing less as well.

I'm delusional for saying MSU has a more optimistic future? Even after winning the SEC last year, being in top mix for winning it this year, and half the LSU fan base wanting CPM fired....and I'm the delusional one....Skip ain't walkin through that door. Now things can change, y'all could make a hire in the next couple of years that could change all that, but right now, saying State has more momentum is not a stretch, it's just a fact.

National Champions are not made in Starkville Mississippi, National Chumps are!
MSU and National Champions don't belong in the same sentence.
Unless you were to write it like this: In June 2013 UCLA defeated Mississippi State for the national championship! Then it would be appropriate!

Those who look to the past, turn their backs to the future. Not surprised.
Posted on 4/26/17 at 5:56 pm to BobLeeDagger
LSU will win another national title soon an Mississippi State will still have zero. There is no past, present, nor will there be any future champions in Starkville!

I say hire the Tulane coach. Hasn't he beaten us 4 times in a row? LOL

I'm delusional for saying MSU has a more optimistic future?
quote:what's cannizaro's record in omaha as a head coach? what's msu's record in omaha in the last 10 years? where does msu rank in postseason wins over the last 10 years? winning the sec is beta talk

He's chasing a national title for the first time at State, with fans that won't run him off for being a top 15 team... Now you're just talking stupid
No, he's not talking stupid. I've seen the renderings and, if it does in fact get built, there will be nothing in college baseball that matches it.

Construction starts on the Mon. after the final SEC series with LSU. That will be delayed a few weeks if MSU hosts a regional.

I love how LSU is stuck with Maingina. They absolutely cannot fire him. He is was Smoke was supposed to be...a title winner. Well he got one, thanks to a football player.
Btw, LSU fans forget that PM wanted the MSU job but Polk 3 stole it from him. Sigh.
LSU fans think that Baseball wasn't invented until 1986, the year after Thunder and Lightning.
How many arms did Bertman put in the bigs with his win at all cost mentality?

quote:Being an ex-LSU player or coach should not be a pre-requisite for getting the job.
So, if it is indeed PM's time, where does LSU go next? Realistically speaking, Cannizaro and/or Dean are a few years away from being truly qualified for this big of a stage. The obvious name is Bianco. My point of discussion is, who else is out there besides the obvious names.
That's nonsense. LSU baseball is too big to limit the coaching search to just those with an LSU background.
There are talented college and professional baseball coaches all over the country that are qualified.
Personally, I think Corbin at Vanderbilt would kill it here. (He wanted the job when Skip hired Milesinieri)................

What is your problem?
You get on here every night, look at your post history, and do nothing but berate and belittle any coach or player on any given LSU team.
What's your deal?
