Yup... People who think that the age of 64 isn't a major handicap for Miles in the hiring process are very misinformed or lack intellect.
Most job openings for head coaches now at major programs and other P5 schools are being filled with younger "promising" coaches. Some are former successful coordinators who excelled on their side of the ball and others are former head coaches who excelled at mid majors.
I believe the only SEC head coach that was fired in 2017 who landed back on his feet with a HC job is Kevin Sumlin at Arizona. The others are sitting back collecting their buyout or working as asst coaches until a job opens up.
Sumlin never beat a Les Miles LSU team and his career accomplishments don't stack up to what Miles has achieved. Sumlin has been successful though and he's over 10 years younger with more tread left on his tires than Miles. The truth is not many programs want to take a chance with Miles at his age and he's in a position which allows him to be content knowing that.

its fact that 14 out of 126 teams have coaches over the age of 60.not an excuse.
its a fact that the average age of a p5 coach is 44. not an excuse.
its a fact that miles would be the oldest p5 coach hired in over a decade.

i readily admit that his offensive philosophy is an issue but its no where near as big of an issue as his age.
Do you think ADs care more about offensive statistics than winning? because thats what youre saying when you suggest his offensive philosophy is the biggest issue. miles is a proven winner at 2 different p5 programs and had proven he could sustain success at a program. when he was fired, he was 1 of 3 current coaches to make a NCG after the 4th year of his tenure.

ive never seen a fan base hate its most accomplished coach the way some lsu fans hate miles. I've never seen a fanbase more willing to shite on its own accomplishments just because they don't like the coach.

He doesn't know any better ...his love for Miles or the HATE for anyone that says anything negative about Miles makes hm go into the buly on the playground mode.... I thought Miles did a great job while here... He had some bad moments and I called him out on them... That's all Ricky looks at..... I have given Miles TONS of credit while he was here... His game calling in 2007 against FLA will go down as one of the greatest performances all time in TS..... However.. IMO since 1-9-12 I don't think he was the same coach... Hey Things like that happen............

I think you have missed the point.... Its A fricking message board... Its not even close as to how much MORE I know about CFB than Ricky.... The bottom line is he acts like A 5 year old that got his ball taken away... As soon as he can he starts with all the name calling and putdowns.... I assure you he is more obbssed with me than I am with him....
There is WAY WAY more to CFB than just stats... THAT IS A FACT..................
