Yes

He just doesn't produce and he is all hype. Haters.
He's definitely underproduced produced the last two years, but he's good against the run was really good as a Sophomore and will fit well in a 3-4.
3-4 DEs aren't top 3 worthy though.

Really?? You want to explain why you said Joe Addai needed his superior 4.37 40 time to make the 1st round?

i have also said many times that reggie bush's 4.35 didn't mean anything, after he won the heisman,
You said Reggie Bush was one of the best players to play the game of Football at the time. Apparently since he is a borderline bust..you've changed your mind.

You can't see how an injury prone back that hadn't produced a ton during his college career could need to Wow scouts to make it into the first round? Yeah that's totally implausible.

Has anyone thought that maybe sanchez and tyson are moving up becuase they A. have good agents B. Say the right things to the people in charge C. Are really stand up guys D. Maybe NFL scouts can recognize talent when they see it.
also the fact that they are prob trading dorsey and expect to have another 1st rnd pick.

Tyson Jackson=Michael Johnson. Physical specimens w/o much production.
Is that the michael johnson that is the runner? Because if that is so than you couldn't be more wrong about him, didn't he just blow everyone away at the olympics a few years ago? Dind't he hold the record for the 200 meter and 400 meters until usaine bolt? Yeah he really didn't produce. Nice try need to find someone else to compare him with. Oh and way to go ahead and call someone's professional career without having seen them play 1 down in that league. You are just like the guys on espn that make these crazy predictions that they have no way to back up

i think he means the DE from GT, who is a fricking stud athlete. tyson wishes he had his athleticism

SFP - why were you pissed that the Saints drafted Reggie Bush?
Posted on 4/24/09 at 1:20 pm to stewie
b/c i didn't think he'd be a good RB in the NFL and would never live up to his salary
i was right on both accounts

I would agree with these points, but IF you're a pro GM, do u really take Tyson with the 3rd pick overall?
I'm a huge fan of Tyson, but I don't think he's even the best DE in this draft, left alone the 3rd best player.
I can see that KC would want him, but doesn't it make more sense to trade down and get not only Tyson, but some value for the #3 pick?
The only other team that would be looking for a 3-4 DE would be the Jets...just trade down right above them, grab Tyson and you're golden.

I dunno man,
While he isn't the player most people thought he would be, he did bring instant local excitement back into the organization.
He also helped bring the Saints back into the national spotlight.
I don't know the exact numbers but there isn't a doubt in my mind that the Saints are making a profit off of him.

You were pimping Vernon Gholston's "Athleticism" last year. Gholston, 13 tackle, 0 sacks taken at #6 behind Dorsey who had 46 tackles & 1 sack.

he is a good athlete
johnson isn't a 3-4 DE like tyson. he's a pure speed rusher (4.66 i believe)
i said tyson was probably better than spears. i don't want to see you try and turn this into me criticizing him

In round one? I think all these teams have more pressing issues than DE. The Broncos need a RB, Browns need a WR. Maybe the Pac, i dunno, they seem more likely to take an OL than anything else.
Posted on 4/24/09 at 2:08 pm to ZereauxSum
all teams are switching to the 3-4 and don't have DEs for it (well not the browns, but they need a DE)

Good point. But I would think they would use the first round picks to meet the most pressing needs, and as they stand today, both the Broncos and Brown's offenses are going to be terrible. Then again, the Browns in particular need help all over the place, so who knows?

FWIW i think Kiper is smoke in the wind with his predictions. It's all hear say; he is just a name and a face for ESPN.
I think i would rather suffer through an WNBA game than to watch the NFL draft
