YES. Rohan Davey...one of my favorites.
Dude would throw the ball; a duck that was going seemingly to no one; and Josh Reed would come out of no where to make the grab.
Good times...
I hung out with Herb a few times back in the day and he fricking hated it when people called him Rohan. Another thing, for a guy named Herb I was surprised he never smoked.

I don't think that running ability is the only aspect Miles considers when choosing a starting QB
---------------
Judging by Jan 9th who knows WTF Miles considers when it comes to a QB....
he sent our boys out there with one hand tied around their balls and called dumb play after dumb play for 60 minutes. NOT puttin another QB in there when you haven't done shite ALL game is akin to gettin in an MMA match and sayin "I'm only gonna throw right hooks all fight."
I can handle losing...but goddamned at LEAST go down giving it EVERYTHING you got at your disposal. That's why I am convinced it has nothing to do with being the most talented guy on the roster..it has to do with Miles' preferences.

I agree. I don't know WTF, if anything at all Les was thinking but that was one game. A very big game but one of many games Les has coached.
As for the rest of the season and Mett in particular I'm sure Miles is/was afraid of '08 repeating itself. Talent-wise, you aren't gonna find many, if any people that think Mett wasn't the most talented, but again you can't make a decision based on one aspect of the game. Mett is even quoted as saying that he has learned a lot this past season about going against great D's because he got to practice against one all year. That isn't a luxury JJ and Lee had when they were thrown in to the fold.

Miles has the chance to correct and learn from shite. lets hope he does

Good thing for Miles JJ could only be here four years. Miles/Jefferson reminds me of Haslett/Brooks. Haslett road the Brooksmobile till it cost him his job.

As a fan, you should know at least a little about the players on your favorite team
It was a knock on the passing performance we have seen from our mobile QB the past few years Lighten up Francis.

His Virginia Tech TD run stands out to me. A truly forgotten play
Because of Keiland's hurdle. That play was one of my favorites from the season.

The lack of talented qb depth in '08 is what lead us down this long and windy road. Things are definitely looking up.

My bad. I wrongly assumed you were one of those guys.

I realize Mett is the assumed starter and is expected to be our phoenix (I really hope he is) but what if (heaven forbid) there is a better alternative?
If the so called better alternative shows it on the field then I am good. But if he is put in just because he is a "mobile QB" and his passing sucks then I will have a problem with that.

and whos fault is that? We won a BCS title in 07 and we cant recruit a top quarterback in how many years?

Same here, but both JJ and Lee were limited in their throwing abilities. What I've seen of Mett, Rivers and JR they all have a lot more raw talent when it comes to passing.

I hope so this has been a long 4 years for the QB position. I just can not help but think How awesome this season could have been with an above average QB. And no I am not saying this season sucked at all.

I don't care if LSU has a mobile QB or not, as long as he can read the defense and run the offense. LSU has had two QB's who had decent arms, and one who had a decent set of wheels but neither could do the two things above effectively and consistently.
