When did Jumbo say that? Before or after winning the National Championship? With the discipline problems that program has (not that we don't have problems or our own), do you really want him?

The primary benefit of taking Hud would be really pissing off the ULL fans. We should offer him the the equipment manager position, just to get him on the east side of the Mississippi.

Miles eventual replacement

Is this a required monthly thread? Why does this continually come up? Can't we just have a stickied thread that never dies until he leaves/retires/is fired?

This topic is not only like beating a dead horse, it's skinning the horse, drawing & quartering it, tarring & feathering it, then beating it some more. Then a bit more for good measure.

Let's just hope we can keep the staff we have now for years. I really believe this is a special staff, they can recruit and coach.

i think the right number for Miles is 20 years.

I just look at the recruiting classes. And you have to figure some nice seasons are coming.

Schembechler coached 21 years at Michigan.

Bo was younger than Miles is now when he retired from coaching. I suspect Les coaches no more than 5 more years before taking a big TV gig and/or LSU admin spot.

If he has even more success (wins another NC) and leaves on his own terms, Miles will do whatever he can to have Cameron replace him (Cam is 7 years younger than Les).

Let's hope this doesn't happen. Not a strike against Cam at all, but this isn't the 1980's LSU. Let's hope they don't approach it that way. Hand picked successors all usually fail.

Jimbo loves him some LSU and the SEC West is the most competitive in college football. Some people like the challenge and he may even prefer LSU. And I can see him at LSU for sure.

Jimbo fisher has said the two programs he'd leave for are Alabama and LSU

I could see Bama but not really LSU. He's recruiting on par or better than Miles so where is the advantage in leaving FSU for LSU? The pressure at Bama may be enough to make him not consider them either. He's in as good a situation as he will find.

Coach O, if he had been given 1-2 more years at Ole Miss, would be an icon. Personally, I was glad they canned him as I hate the Rebs.

Houston Nuttsack won with his recruits.

THAT IS FACT!!!

In terms of the easier road to the playoffs I don't see Jimbo leaving soon, however Bama/LSU are different beasts in terms $$ coming into the football program

I don't have #s in front of me but I'm fairly sure LSU pays its assistants a whole lot more then FSU has recently

Gary Patterson is staying at TCU until Kansas State opens up which is his alma mater. Never coming to LSU...forget it

Jimbo Fisher would be in the running. I think we would go after Gary Patterson as well.
