but for you to say you would feel more comfortable with a guy that's never taken a collegiate snap over one that has 8 starts vs QUALITY teams im the SEC ..... I just can't comprehend it.

When JJ came in against Arkansas he had had very few collegiate snaps and played adequately, in his second game, georgia tech, big bowl game, MVP, he played more than adequately. Sometimes it happens that way that a guy can just step in and step up to the plate. I don't know if Chris Garrett can or not but I do know that JL couldn't last season.

Seven games Lee passed for more yds than JJ ever passed for.

Yea and he also passed for more yards for the other team than JJ did

16/143=11.2% of JL completions were to the other teams. Thats more than one out of every frickin ten. JL stuck it out but just playing against Bama, UGA, and FLorida isnt a legit reason for him to start because he didnt accomplish anything in those games. If he did anything he cracked under the pressure. Against Bama are defense played great but JL let us down. Against UGA, our defense sucked, but so did JL, I will say with Florida we were just out matched in '08.

IF the depth chart, come fall, is 1 JJ, 2 RS, 3 CG, 4 JL i cant wait to see how big a shite the Lee Lovers are going to flip.

Jarett Lees performance Game by Game out of 10:

Auburn: 7/10
Miss St: 6/10
Florida: 7/10
South Carolina: 6/10
Georgia: 4/10
Tulane:5/10
Alabama: 3/10
Troy: 5/10

As the year progressed JL didnt get any better, he actualy got worse.
--------------------------------------------------
JJ performances:

Ole Miss: 6/10
Arkansas: 7/10
GT: 9/10

As JJ played more and more he got more comfortable and it showed.

--------------------------------------------------

All the Lee Lovers seem to be set on that Jarett Lee is going to have the amzing off-season and come back and lead LSU to a BCS bowl. They dont see it that JJ will improve and relize that he could have a great offseason too. JJ may have only played in three game last season, but he steadily improved with each one and looked more and more comfortable with each game. THis is why I believe JJ will improve more this off season than JL will and JJ already started way ahead of JL in the offseason because of his performances in the last games of the season.

And if your saying JJ is inexpirenced and already played a ton better than Lee in the last few game of the regular season, imagine how much better he would be than Lee after eight games and the best of the SEC opposition.

Some of your better qbs had more interceptions than Lee. Go look up the Ncaa stats, and they were not red shirt freshmen.

yea and i bet they were from the big twelve and also threw about 10x as many passes and also had way more than the 13 TDs Lee threw

I challenge you to look up our second to last posession vs bama.
notice the time left in game, score, drive distance, play selection, and 3rd down conversions.

JL was fuking clutch. that's why I have faith in the guy.
I wouldn't expect you to know that though.... especially since you rather put him down than support him.

what a class act you are.

JL had his moments to be sure. At times it looked like he had finally turned the corner and it was all clicking for him. But then the very next game he would look lost again. But in those moment that he shined, he really shined. That's why I wouldn't write him off. But we can't blow more games waiting and hoping for that to happen. At least not in critical game situations.

Really the pressure seemed to much for him. The times he played best was when we were so far behind and he had played terrribly, then when there was nothing left to lose he would loosen up and start nailing his passes. Maybe he will get past all that and turn out to be a great QB. But maybe it can't happen at LSU, because this is a pressure cooker and we don't have time to wait.

actually I was at that game and that last drive JL did some good things, thats where he got his points in that game from on how I thought he performed. But you cant base a whole game because of one good drive, the one good drive doesnt over come the 4 int he had that game. And I dont "especailly rather put the kid down", I am merely saying facts and then saying an opion about them. People like yourself have unreal expectations of JL in how you are talking about him. I didnt start off by dissing JL I just said JJ is the better QB in my mind, but then got into the argument with people like you who made me bring up the bad JL did to prove a point.

That's generally the way it works.

Apparently if you say that JJ is a better QB, you are "hating" or "putting down" Jarrett Lee.

I think Manning is a better QB than Vince Young, therefore I'm "hating on" and "putting down" Vince.

You have managed to miss a very UN-subtle point.

No, really, who would have a problem with that. MY point is that the aforementioned "UN-subtle point" is baseless and has no meaning.

We could argue all week, which you guys apparently have from the size of this thread, about who MAY be the best qb for LSU in the future. That's subjective. When all points are based on opinion you very well could be sighted as a hater of one guy for having a man-crush on another. However, stating that Saturday night in Death Valley is a better venue and more enjoyable than watching Le Petite Theater is just a fact. No one could counter that you hate amateurish play acting because of it.

It has not been announced, just clearly implied. JJ definately was better than JL in the games he played. It has been said JJ has a significant lead going into spring to win the starting job. JJ probably will improve this offseason, So will Jarrett Lee. THe thing is, is if you expect Jarrett Lee to improve enough to overtake JJ, thats where things become unrealistic. No doubt it could happen, but its not realistically going to happen.

OK, see if you like this one better:

If I say Manning is a better QB than Tom Brady, does that mean I am "hating on" or "putting down" Brady?

According to you rantastics it does.
