Or he could sit there like you do all day and make stupid fricking posts like this one. Just reply 100+ times each day with 1 word replies to get your post count up and acquire more knowledge, eh? Too many damn teenyboppers on this board.
As for Rivals... like another poster said, they suck gump balls. Anything by Rivals will have a HUGE bias towards Alabama.

just because you are a tiger fan, don't be retarded. I like miles too, but he is far from the top 5.

Don't think you are being honest with yourself. Being "far" from the top 5 implies that you think he's not in the top 20.

there's a lot of things that I admire about Miles. His loyalty, personality, relationship with his players are just a few. However, do I think that his play calling and decisions make him the best coach. No. That being said, i do like the fact that we play four downs to our opponents three. Is that smart? probably not.

IMO, Miles is definitely a top 10 coach.

I agree 100%
Love Miles to death but he will damn sure make you scratch your head and wonder "WTF?"
I would say he is borderline top 20.

If this hasn't been said, Miles has beaten 7 of the coaches in front of him.
Urban Meyer
Nick Saban
Steve Spurrier
Jim Tressel
Bob Stoops, while at OSU
Frank Beamer
Houston Nutt
and Meyer, Saban, Tressel, Stoops, and Nutt have beaten Miles.

I'm pessimistic by nature, and I can see his mistakes on the field. I don't think he matches up X and O with Meyer or Saban or Paul Johnson, but looking at the big picture BabyTac said it...
good recruiter, undefeated in bowl games at LSU, and a national title

You people hollering top 5 are killing me! It's called talent people. LSU has more talent than any other team in the nation besides USC. I would be willing to bet that many of the 27 coaches ahead of LM would beat him head to head if they had even talent and were playing on a neutral field. Why is that so hard for you guys to accept? I jumped off the LM wagon after the loss to Arkansas in 07. That loss was inexcusable! We're sitting at #1 and only have to win 1 HOME game against a severely outmatched opponent. In ANY OTHER year we wouldn't have made it to the championship. It will be years before there is another 2 loss team in the championship. I don't think it ever will unless there is a playoff. Then look at 08. 8-5 record and could've been worse. 11-1 or even 10-2 this year with our schedule will make me believe he is Top 5 material. I hope I'm wrong, but i'm not getting my hopes up.
ETA..I'm not saying I would rank LM #28, but I probably wouldn't have him in the Top 10 either.

After this 2009 football season is over, LSU will have beaten ala. and paul sweinbomb!

Any poll that has the Iowa coach in the Top 5 is BS. He is a decent coach but not a Top 5 coach in the Nation.

This is the kind of crap that makes me root for whoever bammer plays. Go Utes!

You left out Mangino and Leach. Not to mention he schooled a guy(Johnson) ranked right behind him. Talent does matter but part of the ranking of college coaches certainly addresses their abilty to bring in that talent year after year. FWIW Les is 10-7 against the other "elite" coaches while at LSU after going only 4-9 at OSU. Overall I would put Les in the top dozen.

12 Mike Riley overall record at Oregon state 56-42. Never had a season with less than 4 losses. Best bowl ever was the Sun Bowl. Never won his conference.
And he played at bama....maybe that's what got him listed so high!
I think most of the people who write this crap have no clue. Who hires them?

We'll see what bama does this season. Perhaps they will duplicate last year; I think they lose at least 3 in the reg season.
Regardless I hate the constant arse kissing of saban..

Problem is, with the program in the shape it was when handed to him, a monkey could have done those things. I think DiNardo would have done better with the same talent that Miles has had.
