I agree with you that he has made some great recruiting and coaching moves while he has been here as far as surrounding himself with a good staff. His coaching ability is still suspect though. he seems to be a great guy with a lot of character but you would have to agree that some of his decisions this past year were not smart. I think he has made the right moves to turn things around, I just hope we dont see any more balls thrown to the end zone on third and one against the worst run d in the conference. Then again I really dont know what calls he is allowed to make with the offense.

He screwed the pooch......... A good CEO would never do that. He doesn't get a pass
You are completely wrong on this. All all CEO's make good decisions and bad ones and are constantly managing their business. Example, Cisco, the dominant telecom equipment company in the world only keeps the products of 18% of it's acquistiions. John Chambers is legendary and respected globally. Les thought the Co-DC's would keep chemistry and scheme from the BCS Championship. He was wrong and fixed with powerful hires in Chavis and O. This is what good CEO's do.

Is also the reason why our fans look like morons.
This is a thread meant to praise Miles yet you still have these idiots who say the man who has brought more success to this program than Saban (yea, I said it and is probably a stupid statement but that is what I feel) is a bad coach. How many 10+ win seasons did Saban have?

I do remeber in the seccg, saban went for a fake fieldgoal in the second quater only down by 3 on like the 40 yard line. But hey he can do that cause he's the best coach in the history of the world!!!
How many times do people have to explain to you that that's a holder'd audible, before you understand it? The holder blew that call. The fake field goal is ALWAYS possible. If the holder see's the defense lined up wrong, he audibles and they run it.

His bumbling press conferences and twisting of words is agonizing for anyone in the media or fans who are just trying to get a nugget of information about the program.
Get the shite out of your ears and maybe you would understand him.

Too many people say he is great, he is not a "great" coach, he's just above average.
...and you are just a notch below ignorant.

Another valid criticism is that he doesn't inspire confidence from the fan base and the media (yes, I said the media, they shape public perception), and that is very important
The media also said Miles to Michigan, that he wouldn't win many of the games that he won...and I could go on......
You obviously put more stock in the media than you do your own coach, which proves, once again, you are a notch below ignorant. I guess you believe Lou Holtz too. Good for you.
